5 Best Steakhouses near Bristol

“My wife and I had our anniversary dinner at Council Oak in Bristol VA. I have ate steak at many high end restaurants, but will say in full confidence the 24oz porterhouse we shared was the best steak I've ever eaten cooked at the chefs recommended medium rare. The mac and cheese with country ham crumbles and whipped potatoes were equally incredible. We were seated in a low traffic area at the back of the restaurant in a nice half moon booth. Our waitress Taylor very nice and we never had to wait long for anything. The complementary chocolate cake for our anniversary was very good. Its nice to have a high end steakhouse in our area, we will be back and will tell others about this hidden gem. The restaurant was very easy to find, you go in the large main Hard Rock entrance then turn right and walk about 200ish feet.“

“Michael was our server. He paid close attention to detail, and made sure every need was met. Whether requested or not. Hands down best service. Smiling the whole time. Such a delightful experience. Frequent flyer miles. Did let us know that there would be a new menu coming out. Told us about the ribs and a few items that will be changing. Always excited to know about upcoming things at one of our favorite places. Dave that cleans the tables is one of the most detail oriented people when it comes to cleanliness for people. He really is a true asset to the team. Actually most people we know. Jasmine, Jerry, Tyler, and Michael are the best we truly apologize if I left someone out. We love the crew.“
