Wahaca Mexican Kitchen Reviews
Too many people standing around on their cell phones, had to request napkins while the bar tender too was on his phone. The food overall is Pricy for Johnson City.
Everyone spoke to each other in Spanish, which makes Many Americans uncomfortable!
Their only redemption is that they offer a full bar service, beer, wine, and liquor.
AS I said, PRICY! The front right side EXIT door was locked ( Fire Code VIOLATION) I wonder if our FD even inspects them?
I really have to recommend Wahaca!
Yesterday I called them just a few hours before an event, and honestly—they saved me. They handled my request quickly, kindly, and with such excellence. I could tell they genuinely cared.
And the food… sooo good. Fresh, flavorful, and everyone at the event kept loved it,
Thank you for stepping in last-minute and making it look effortless. I’ll definitely be ordering again!
We ordered Wahaca tonight via UberEats. Hands down the best Mexican food we’ve had in the Tricities. Everything was fresh and had its own unique flavor. We will definitely be return customers.

Wahaca Mexican Kitchen serves some of the best Mexican cuisine in the area. Fresh guacamole is made table-side, and the chips and salsa are a great accompaniment—just the right amount of heat with a good texture. The menu offers a range of delicious dishes, including Chilie Relleno, Quesadillas, and Fajitas. Standout options include the Texas Burrito, Pina Loca, Birria Street Tacos, pastor tacos, chicken tamal, and chimichanga. The food is excellent, hot when it comes out, and plentiful, with gluten-free modifications available. The cheese dip and salsa are delicious, while the margaritas taste amazing. The service is outstanding, with friendly and polite staff, and the atmosphere is welcoming. This restaurant can also accommodate large groups, making it a popular spot for a tasty meal at a great price. The little fried tortilla chips with cinnamon-sugar and chocolate drizzle served at the end are a delightful treat. Wahaca Mexican Kitchen is a tucked-away gem, likely to become a favorite for those seeking authentic Mexican food.
