I ordered out and got a BUG in my PASTA never again

This was Our first time trying this location and will be the last. Our waitress Stephanie was amazing but the food not so much I had ordered the 2 for $25 steak meals the green beans had no garlic and the steak tasted rotten, a manager never came to speak with us about our issues but needless to say I am very disappointed and won't be returning.

Overall we had a decent experience! I gave only 3 stars for food for a few reasons. There were 4 of us. Myself and another person had the new grilled cheese cheeseburger on potato bread. The server described the sweet and savory bacon jam, as a sweet BBQ, but didnt taste like a BBQ at all. However, the bacon jam did pair pretty well with the sandwhich. The entire sandwich was luke warm. The potato bread was a little soft. It wasn't grilled to perfection with that nice crispy, but soft crunch you would expect to get from a grilled cheese. The tomato and basil soup that came with it had good flavor, but it too was just barely warm. The other two had steaks, a six Oz and an eight oz sirloin. Apparently the cook doesn't know what well, well, well done and medium well are. The server and us even joked about it, and that was what he said he was putting the well 3 times. Anyway, the well done came out just done and a part of the 6oz still had some pink in it. The medium well, which should be a light pink, was more like medium rare. The sides which were red skin mashed and fries were as you can guess, just luke warm! Anyway, our server was really nice, and did a good job, but we will chalk it up as maybe the cook was new, or having an off day. Had our food been at least hot I still would have given more stars. To add it wasn't busy in there either! We stopped after a high school bowling tournament! Overall it was ok, not horrible and we had the 2 for 25 and upgrade, so still way better than fast food for flavor and price!

The table we were sat at hadn’t been wiped down at all and was still obviously dirty from the previous customers. The seat I sat in was also wet. Then our appetizer barely had any dip in it at all when every other time I’ve been at Applebees it’s filled to the brim. Once we got our food, my chicken was hardly grilled and was flavorless. Same for my partner’s burger, it had no flavor either. I’ve had only one good experience at this location- and I can recall another time we’ve came here and never received our appetizer. Tried to give benefit of a doubt to this place but I’m still disappointed!

Went tonight and Cody was our server. He was friendly. Didn’t write our order down and literally nothing of our table of 4 came out right. Waited for our food for at least 35 minutes (it wasn’t busy) then had to wait another 15 or so for my child’s Mac and cheese. Takes 5 or less minutes to fix. Better service during these issues could’ve fixed a lot. Also, it’s Applebees so obviously I don’t go in with huge expectations. However, I will drive to Elizabethton because it seems like every time we’ve come to Johnson city location, we leave unhappy and still hungry. Do better!

We were able to be seated where we wanted. The server ANG told us all the deals and specials GREAT tasting food.
Went in for dinner tonight 9/30/25, food was good, but when the bill came we asked the waiter why we was charged full price because we came after 9 for the half price appetizers. She looked down at the menu like she had no idea what I was talking about and didn’t even work their, then talk me no it’s only from 3-7 then said I’ll go get you a manager. Never came back with a manager came back with and updated bill and a lame excuse. Won’t be back for a while

Went in for dinner and waited up front for hostess. Only two tables were seated and the restaurant was practically empty. I soon found out why. After waiting for a couple of minutes, knowing I had been seen and ignored by a server, I decided to go sit at the bar. My experience has been that the bartenders are prompt, and it is typically faster than regular table service. Not at this place. I waited 10 minutes. I was ignored by two different servers, never saw a bartender or floor manager, and as I left, there was another couple waiting patiently for a hostess that I wager never showed up. No wonder this particular Applebee's looked like an abandoned parking lot, while restaurants up and down the road were packed. I won't be back

The food was good but the service was very unprofessional while eating the waiter sat down at our table and was asking questions like he knew us saying he was from Memphis then my wife ask for a To go box he called her baby very rude and immature my first and last time there
