I have always had high hopes for AAH. My husband is a JC local and he’s always raved about the spot. However, the last few times we’ve been, a certain brunette female bartender has ruined the experiences for me.
She has worked there the last few times we have been (keep in mind we only come into town on holidays, i.e. Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc).
The service you receive from this bartender changes based upon your political conversations and the customer's needs and requests. On multiple occasions, her attitude and service towards my husband and I has changed because she did not like the political conversations/social conversations she overheard between us and others.
I understand we live in a sensitive time right now, but don’t work in a service job if you can’t put on your big girl pants and provide excellent service to patrons no matter what they believe or where they come from.
Your job is to serve beer and provide excellent service that reflects the establishment. Her service specifically does not make me want to go back.

Used to be a favorite spot for years, now it’s a playground and daycare with beer. Incredible beer selection and local food trucks but until they put a limit on childcare party size I’m going to wait until it’s cold again so people stop bringing their dozens of children to play. It’s so LOUD with kids I can’t hear my partner sitting next to me. Why people feel the need to bring dozens of children to a bar is beyond me. I’m not anti-kid, either, I’m anti-kids-in-adult-spaces. I’ve taken my nieces and nephews to Chuck E Cheese’s with better noise levels and childcare from parents. There are no adults watching their kids run into other adults carrying full pints of beers, they just run rampant which is not only disrespectful but it’s downright dangerous for the children AND the adults. Such a shame. Good beer. Kind bartenders. A nightmare of an atmosphere.

Great place. Went to try Watauga Brewery next door and could not get service and their Untapped menu was not correct so tried this place. Great beer selection and local vendors selling goods on Sunday.

Visited the food truck Kings of Cajun and really enjoyed the food! The Cajun food with a friend to share with and a beer was the best part of my night! Cajun food is such a social thing and Katie was very sweet to us...really cool!
