Restaurant will keep doors locked even when they're supposed to be open. Ordering Grubhub? Prepare for a 50% chance that your driver won't be able to get your food that you paid for.

It was very good, but the chef needs to use less seasoning....was too salty for me!

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant that my husband and I have ate at since being down here! They are welcoming and treat everyone with respect. I can’t rave enough about the great atmosphere, service, and amazing food! If you’re in Johnson City and craving some great authentic Mexican food, head on over to the Blue Corn Mexican Restaurant and you’ll be glad that you did!

I wish I could comment on the food but I never received any. I ordered takeout online through the restaurants service on google maps. When I got to the restaurant at my scheduled pickup time they told me what I had ordered wasn’t on their menu so of course they didn’t have it ready. A good online presence is so easy for restaurants nowadays there’s really no reason something like that should happen but also I get mistakes happen. However I had to put in my phone number and information so once the restaurant received the order they could have called me to clear things up instead of just not caring and letting me drive all the way there. When I got to the restaurant the hostess gave me a menu and said I could order something from that, but at that point I was annoyed so I just left. I assumed since what I had ordered wasn’t on the menu there was no way I would be charged for it, but it turns out they did find a way to charge me for a meal I never received. I certainly won’t be coming back to these thieves and I hope everyone else is more cautious with this place.

Whom ever runs and manages this restaurant needs to be retrained in what authentic Hispanic cuisine means. The staff is friendly but the food is not to be desired. Meat with flavor means slow cooking not cooking on a meat eschew. The meat is suppose to be shredded not sliced. I have been a butcher for over 20 yrs. The cooking staff has lost whatever pride they had in preparing food. I don't recommend this restaurant and will not be back.

Got takeout. Hostess waited on me. Was very nice and pleasant. Place had a nice atmosphere. Food was good. Portions was nice size. Definitely will go back to eat in

The food and service are wonderful. Waiter took care of every need we did not have to hint him down. The food was amazing especially the salsa and guacamole. I give them an A+. Also there is a bogo event on Texas Fajitas right now and yes they serve alcohol

Most incredible spanish food Ive ever eaten!!!!! I have been a huge fan of spanish food my whole life & this restaurant easily beats any other place ive eaten! They have such unique/delicious combinations and the food is so fresh!!!! Huge compliments on the salsa's, meat, & rice! And the homemade corn tortillas 'out of this world'! Also incredible service with very professional/friendly staff!!!! 5 ?all day!!!!!

Being new residents in JC, it was our first visit. The food and service was excellent.

Last few times we've ate at this establishment we've been disappointed. We decided today that we would place a to go order. Grilled chicken quesadillas were mostly dry chicken with very little cheese and burnt edges, the spinach dip was just wilted spinach in some sort of white sauce that wasn't cheese, ordered guacamole salad, and recieved a few tablespoons of guac in a bowl, and the chicken tacosalad was just mostly beans. They have started using some sort of yellow cheese that doesn't melt well, and has a very chemically taste to it. We recieved about two handfuls of chips in a bag. The salsa had whole pickled jalapeno slices. We won't be returning. The only plus was the gentleman up front that ran the register. He was very nice.

This has got to be the biggest joke of a MEXÍCAN restaurant ever. The hostess/server was in hiding, waited 5 minutes before she showed her presence. Ordered hard shell tacos, and they were not. The beans were covered in some kind of sauce and it was bad. The rice was served with hard and cold rice. This is the WORST place for Mexican food.

You want an excellent authentic Mexican resteraunt to eat at ? Look no further !!! I love this place ! Staff are amazing and friendly ! The food is always fantastic ! Don’t miss out come to blue corn you won’t regret it !

The BEST Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. Guacamole is heavenly. The spice blends are subtle and delectable. Service was non obtrusive, yet prompt. Atmosphere light and fun. Clean. We had the Fajitas Texana, 2 for $19.99. Our to go box weighed three pounds.
