Burgers were yummy, but make no mistake it is a burger bar. Fries were okay, but not great. I would eat here again. Service was good as well

Great place for a great burger. Place opens at 5 and is located next to the Double Tree hotel lobby. Great service, friendly staff and the price/portion was very good. Food was cooked right and hot when is came out. Everything is made to order, so grab a drink and relax. Nice atmosphere with plenty of tvs to entertain. Glad we live in town, we'll be back.

I was excited about the build-your-own burger concept at the restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience left me feeling confused. Upon entering, there was only one staff member at the bar (we saw at least one more later), so we chose an empty table. We waited for about 10 minutes without receiving a greeting or any indication on how to proceed with ordering. There were some other guests but the place wasn't busy. The staff, engaged in conversation behind the bar, made some eye contact but didn't acknowledge our presence. We decided to leave and dine elsewhere, simply wondering if we missed some information on how this place operates.

It was.... OK. Service was slow.Milkshake was horrible. It was all airy and very strange. Left 95% of that. Surprised it was rated so high.
I have eaten here several times—the food has been delicious: Wings, Build-your-own-Burger(s), Fries, special dipping sauce for Sweet Potato Fries, Tex-Mex Salad, Blackberry Dessert…all have been so good. Service is even better—JULIA (bartender) is Phenomenal!! I was running late one night, called in a food order and it was ready when I got there.

Wow was I suprised ! The service was outstanding, very friendly and made the experience beyond what I was expecting. The burger was perfect as was the onion rings. I was told the cook's name was Rick and say I have been to 23 countries and this was probably one of the best meals I have in state.

We’d heard about Burger Bar but hadn’t tried it yet and wow am I mad at myself for not coming sooner. Big, juicy burger with tons of options for toppings and sides and a great dinner menu. Our server Julie was awesome- great suggestions, personable, and attentive without being intrusive. I can’t stand smashburgers- give me something I can sink my teeth into! Burger Bar, hands down best burger in Johnson City.
