We always enjoy Cootie Brown’s campus location. Fantastic servers and great food. Great for small or large party of guests. We also love that they use the text notifications so you can wait in your car on the chilly days. Everything I’ve had here is good. But my favorite go-to meal is their Key Lime Chicken, which I get with the honey roasted sweet potatoes and roasted artichoke sautéed spinach. They have a huge menu and lots to choose from for everyone’s different tastes. Highly recommend.

Heard this place was good, so I took some friends who were in town for a visit. Nobody enjoyed their meals. Everything was just bad. My pulled pork was probably the worst BBQ I’ve ever had. Wife’s chicken was boring and dry. Friend’s steak was overcooked. So was his wife’s burger. The chips were stale. The beer was even bad… Tastes like they haven’t cleaned the lines in a while. To top it all off, everything was ridiculously overpriced and the college kids working there are rude or have no personality. Would not recommend this place.

Stopped for quick lunch while driving through Johnson City and ETSU campus. Not our first choice, but this was exactly what we wanted. Will definitely be back, hopefully for a pre-game football game.

I get the black bean taco salad each time and never disappointed. I want to try the pizza since everyone in my family gets it and looks/smells amazing too. Will try that next time. I wish they had French fries though, lol. Delicious!!

Went there Saturday March 16 for early dinner. The shrimp po boy was incredible hadn't had one like it in years, my brother got the ribs and he loved them. It was a little crowded but we got a good seat, the sweet tea was pretty good , homemade chips and slaw were good to. Our waiter was good checked on us often enough, got us refills, offered desert he didn't talk much but he did a good job. Will be going backParking: Good parking spot lots of parking

We really enjoyed our meal here. And it’s a very fun atmosphere. The section we ate in was very noisy with children - but the whole restaurant has a pretty high noise level - so if that bothers you- this may not be your place. The menu has lots of options - and great options for vegetarians. We started by sharing a plate of nachos and they were amazing. We will definitely go back next time we are in Johnson City!

Love the atmosphere and they have the best key lime pie I've ever had! The BBQ wasn't my cup of tea, guess I'm just used to NC BBQ? It was good just probably wouldn't reorder it.

The asparagus was quite bland and not cooked enough but everything else was good.

Finally had this recently and had been told by friends and associates to give this a try. Recently had this for lunch. I ordered the Pork Shoulder sandwich with a side of beans and it had spiral potatoes with it. The pork shoulder was the blandest unflavored thing I’ve had. It didn’t seem fresh and tasted like it was reheated from a day or so prior. The side of beans were so tiny and maybe 3 bites. They had a little flavor but nothing I’d want again. The spiral potato chips were okay. Basically, I don’t get the hype. Wouldn’t recommend because it was unflavored and unseasoned food that’s not worth the price. 2/5 for the okay beans.

My family really enjoyed our time and meal here. The atmosphere is really cool with plenty to look at with all the colorful decor. The service was prompt and friendly, and everyone said how much they enjoyed the food - high quality and large portions. We took home the key lime pie which was delicious!
