Since changing owners, have tried and tried to give them a chance but never again. Driest kolaches, asked for mild, just sausage and cheese, got home and they are jalapeño. Ordered glazed filled Bismarks, got dry, no glaze, lumps of dough with filling the size of 1/4 of a penny. Ridiculous! The Hawaiian is supposed to have pineapple and coconut in it, ended up with an apple fritter like thing with no apple! Never ever again!

Daylight Donuts has changed hands repeatedly with quality dropping each time. Today they refused to honor a gift certificate bought at the State of Franklin store as I stood in the State of Franklin store. It was a $12 gift certificate for a $20 order that I had cash in hand to cover the difference.
We ended up going across the street and getting a bigger order at Auntie Ruth’s.

A sweet little donut shop to be sure. The owner is nice as can be and knows quite a bit about quite a bit! We visited a while as he filled my order for 5 dozen to take to the office. I'll definitely be back. Exceptional!

This was my first experience at Daylight Donuts. From the friendly staff to the colorful rows of tempting donuts and the smell of fresh coffee I was definately hooked. My favorite was the lemon filled, with the apple fritter a close second. The coffee was great too. I'm anxious to try a breakfast croissant on my next visit.

Arrived at 6:30am on Thursday, at the Roan location. Looking for raised chocolate and Kolache. They said they were sold out...hmmm, you opened at 6am. No raised donuts at all? Half empty single small case of options. So I drove to the State of Franklin locations. Two cases barely filled with mostly cake options. No glazed, no raised chocolate, no sign of Kolaches. I bought 5 raised cake and a cinnamon roll, to try what they had...meh...not that impressed. Seemed like they were day old. So disappointing since I drove 30 minutes, first thing in the morning to assure my choice was available.

These donuts are beyond your wildest fresh Krispy Kreme dreams! Stopped by bc it’s down the road from the Airbnb where we were staying, and were blown away. Plenty to choose from, but we had a chocolate and a maple Boston cream — both generously filled with custard-/ a regular chocolate frosted (frosting tastes fresh, not chalky/waxy like too many chains) and glazed (not overly sweet) The donuts have that perfect bite of delicate crispness giving way to mouth-watering cake with tight crumb) Truly a treat! We’re stopping for a dozen to take back home to Northern VA.

the BEST donuts I’ve ever had. I’m visiting from DC and there’s always a million donut options but I would trade them all just to have a daylight donuts near me. They have a light crisp to the bottom so any filled donuts aren’t soggy. They’re fluffy and delicious
