Good service, nice atmosphere. Good selection of authentic German beer. Prices are very reasonable and large portions. I had classic bratwurst. The sausage is good but there were parts of it cold. Sauerkraut is very good, red cabbage is okay, potatoes were good. The sauerbraten portions were very large and tender. But not flavored as sauerbraten should be.
I have eaten there twice now. The food is absolutely delicious. I can’t get enough of the herb butter. The German red cabbage was new to me, but I really really love it. The hot potato side dish is just perfect. I like the basic, cozy, laid-back atmosphere. Service was great both times. My mom thought it was great too. We both got some German beers.
It has been a minute since I ate some good German food. The food was great and the portions were plentiful. All the food we ate tasted like authentic German food. The only thing I wish they had was some good German mustard. The waitress was very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant is in a old building, they need to invest in some repairs and a fresh update. Otherwise, I will be back when I am in the area.
