It’s a drive thru. Before receiving my food, I was asked, “Do you want to add a tip for the kitchen staff?”
I realize tip culture is out of control, but this is a new level. It’s like a hippie mafia—pay up or risk having your food spit in.
Next, I had to drive around to get back in the line I was just in to eventually get my food. Not much thought has been put into this system.
Food was average. Glad I didn’t tip the kitchen for average food.

This food is AMAZING. It came out quickly and was so fresh. The harissa sauce was delicious and the owner was extremely kind and brought us a taste of the fried tofu! I just want to come back for more now!

This place rocks! I get the Build Your Own Bowl with half rice/ half spring mix, the BEST tofu ever, the kitchen sink of veggies and pour over the Vinny sauce. The flavor explosion is out of this world.

This is a locally-owned restaurant with wonderful vegetarian and vegan food. The menu has so many different options and you get to choose all your toppings in the form of a bowl or a pico (pita taco), which is my favorite. Most of their options are vegetarian (with only one chicken option for meat-eaters) -so they have tons of choices for the proteins like crispy tofu, garbanzo beans, and avocado. Let the staff know if you are vegan and they will make sure to exclude all dairy options- and you will still have so many choices. They have many veggies to choose from which are more interesting than most other restaurants(like kalamata olives, red cabbage, pickled onions) plus homemade sauces, baba gahnoush, hummus, etc.
The restaurant is drive-through (or walk-up) so plan to picnic in the nearby Founders Park or Kings Common (which has a really fun nature-themed playground beside the JC Public Library if you have kids).
