Hokie Smokie Brisket & BBQ

Food is delicious! Smells amazing when you go inside. My only complaint was that the server didn't tell me there was a lunch option as this was my first visit, but I really don't care, because the food was so good.

This is a very delicious experience. The staff was super friendly and treat ya like family. Thanks Hokie Smokie. Tons of options. I got the the brisket and yum. Look at it. Yall the sides are as good as the brisket. The touch down plate is a good mix of different smoked meats. Holy Moly. Ruben is a heck of a cook.

Forget Ridgewood, this is the best! Pulled pork is excellent and the sauce is phenomenal. You should also try the Phillie cheese.

Me and my boyfriend both got pork sandwiches with brownies and carrot cake, everything was fantastic and service was just as great! We Will definitely be back.

If you like slow service (especially the Mr. beast food they sell on door dash), mediocre bbq, high prices, and waitress that seem like they’d rather be anywhere but at work this is the place for you. Won’t order or be back. Must be why there was 2 tables there at lunch time and I was the only to go.

We ordered many different types of food. The fried mushrooms and the beef burned ends were good, the baked beans were good, the potato salad was ok. Beef brisket was tender and the sausage was probably my favorite. The wings were ok and the ribs were good. Overall i would say the food is ok to good depending what you are getting, however the service was terrible. The staff had to come to our table several times to get the order right. The staff would go and take another's table order before finishing taking our order. We were there for over 2 hours overall.

Our first stop while vacationing in TN! We were treated like family! Our waitress Crystal was the Best and the food was outstanding! The potions were a nice size too, here is a picture of my meal, smokehouse skillet mac n cheese with brisket. Def recommend this place!

The bbq was ok, a little more fat and scraps than I expected but flavor was good. It seemed light and when I got home I checked the weight, 2 lb should have been 32 oz, but it was only 29 oz. About 10% short.

Worst meal in years.-Wings: They were small, rubbery, and tasted like they were microwaved. The menu says large/jumbo crispy, etc. NOPE- BBQ brisket wirh Mac and Cheese. Awful. Was cold, watery and very little flavor.- Beer: Had two different beers, both tasted old. I'm sure they have never cleaned their lines.- Burgers: About as good as you would get in a lunch room. Pretty bad.Food was expensive. If the food was super cheap, I would have expected this level, but it was more expensive than many local places we have been to in the same area. Don't waste your money here.No one bothered to ask how things were. Get the feeling not many people provide positive feedback.I'm surprised that this place is still in business. They clearly don't have any interest in their reputation. The waitress was there for a few days already and no one had taught her how to pour a beer. Days she's been there and they didn't even teach her that.Took forever to get food and there was no one in the place.DO NOT trust 'local reviewers/guides" . They seem to be the only ones who ever get good meals at sub par places. Amazing the luck they have.

The food was terrible! I do not recommend eating here. I had ordered lunch for my co-workers and here is some of the complaints I received, including mine. The smoked half chicken was very dry. I ordered the loaded potato wedges and just received them plain. The sweet potato fries that were ordered were as small as shoe laces and burnt terribly and only received not even a handful. I had ordered extra sauces and did not receive them. The chicken tenders that were ordered had way too much breading on them so all the breading did not get cooked and it tasted like paste over chicken and had zero flavor. The sandwich that was ordered looked like it was thrown in the box. Hokie Smokie seems to be very careless when it comes to their customer's food. I will not be back.

Ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs. Got them, they looked amazing until I started eating. It was like a piece of paper crossed with a stick of chalk . Hands down 0/10 on the food quality. The collard greens 2/10 no seasoning. The best part of meal was the drink.I walked up to the register to pay for my drink, the young lady ask how my meal was. I said I will pay for my drink. I was expecting a manager.No management in sight. I would go elsewhere. I should have gauged my decision to visit by the 2 cars in the parking lot.Do yourself a favorGo somewhere else

Great food! Great Service. Mike catered my sons rehearsal dinner at Harvest Acres Farm and did an amazing job. Provided us with more than enough food for our guest with some extras thrown in. Mike even called me after just to make sure I was satisfied. If you’re looking at catering for an event…Hokie Smokie BBQ is your place. Thanks Mike for taking such good care of us!!!!

We were so excited to try “Mr. Beast” but were several hours from home. We found the kitchen with some sleuthing and they were kind enough to serve us even though it couldn’t be “delivered”. The food was great and they were especially kind to my son, taking time to give him extra stickers and talk to him about his favorite Mr. Beast stuff. The cook even came out and talked to him about the present and previous menus. Really stellar service, great food and so friendly.

Best BBQ in the tricities. One of my favorite places to eat. Everything I’ve tried is delicious and the service is great fast and friendly. I go every week.

I had the full rack with potatoes and onions and the loaded baked potato, first off amazing ribs literally fall off bone l. They was so tender I was able to pull the bones out of the meet and the sides was phenomenal that potato they offer is so huge!!!!!!!!My kids had a side sald and wings and my 6 year old who is very picky ate 12 wings and Mac and cheese and fries. We definitely will be back thank you for the great experience ☺️
