I came here with a school group after touring a nearby college, leading a couple of other high school kids inside. (Honestly, all pretty tame people.) We all had $20 budget individually and we all calculated how much our orders were gonna be for tax and all, me and 2 others preparing to keep extra money for a tip.
Through out the time we were there, our waitress did not come to our table much, one of the people at table had am empty cup for 3/4 of the time we were there and he didn't even order an good because he wasn't hungry. When our food was brought out I asked for Soy Sauce because my rice tasted bland and had to wait about 10 minutes for the server to come back, say she forgot, and then go get it and take an additional 5 minutes.
Finally, at the end, she brings us all our checks and everyone is confused, they have an "automatic tip" of 20% and you can't ask them to lower it. Me and my friend had to help multiple people at our table so that they could afford their meals. After paying, I waited for the waitress to come back with my change, and she eventually did and said "we don't deal in change" and followed up with "or coins" when almost everyone at that table payed in cash and coin so they could actually afford.
The worst part is a lot of us even prepared our order with the idea of having some money left over, some people needed it for gas, but that got shot down really quickly.

Amazing place in downtown Johnson City! Beautiful ambiance in a historic building with a great menu and really great prices. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Went here for brunch and will be coming back again!

Great atmosphere. Really clean. Very convenient location. Prices were not bad at all. The mixed drinks are amazing. But I have a tip for future customers, hear me out. Order the birria ramen to go before you leave, let it sit overnight in the fridge, and it is divine. I discovered this with leftovers. If you think it’s good when fresh, wait until you try it next day. The dumplings were also a great appetizer. The flan was delicious. Our server was very nice. I’ll definitely be back.

Great food and atmosphere! Hands down the best carnitas tacos I’ve ever had! We came here for our anniversary and are already planning our next trip back.

Have been wanting to try this place. Great happy hour menu. Got the queso, stir fry soup and drunken noodles. Was very pleased with all. We had reservations. Seems like walk-in may be risky. Nice large bar too. Great view.

Unacceptable Service and Lack of Leadership
Our experience at your restaurant tonight was deeply disappointing and unacceptable. Despite a 6:45 pm reservation, our entrees never arrived after waiting over two hours. Drinks took 30 minutes, and although the appetizer came promptly, the rest of the evening was chaotic.
We witnessed other tables seated after us receiving their food, while we were given inconsistent explanations about delays, including staff walking out mid-service. Management was noticeably absent, leaving staff to handle the disarray without support.
By 8:45 pm, with no resolution or accountability, we had no choice but to leave, paying for only drinks and the appetizer.
Immediate action is needed to ensure this kind of service failure does not happen again. Guests expect timely service, clear communication, and effective management.

We had a very large party. My mom had a walker and we couldn't go upstairs so they were extremely accommodating and moved all of us down stairs no problem. The food was hot and all came out at once. Overall i would definitely go back. We made reservations.
Parking: You need to go early to find parking. A lot of other things downtown going on.
Kid-friendliness: Very friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: They don't have an elevator to go upstairs, they do have a down stairs but seating is limited.

Let me start by saying my server was excellent. However, the food was not great. I got the dumplings which were very good. And the drunken noodles which were not. (I’ve had them before and they were good enough to get again) I thought Something tasted off after a few bites so I ordered a side of fried rice instead. I boxed it up and took it home thinking maybe it was just me being picky and gave my leftovers away. Without more detail I will say both our stomachs are extremely upset.

I had the pleasure of visiting Juan Siao in Johnson City, TN, for lunch, and it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxing, perfect for a midday break.
A special shoutout to Cassy, who went above and beyond to make my visit memorable. Her friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and amazing recommendations truly stood out.
The food was outstanding, with bold flavors and creative dishes that exceeded my expectations. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or a leisurely lunch, this place is a must-visit.
Thank you, Juan Siao, and Cassy, for making my lunch a highlight of the day. I’ll definitely be back!

The food was actual the bomb and they had a great selection of many things mostly Asian. Also we had the best waiter here name was Laila and she was the sweetest. We ended up sitting at the top by a window and it had a good overlook of the downtown area
