When the Hurricane hit, my friend and I went out searching for water and see where we could help. With most of Greene co. and the surrounding areas being closed due to flooding we ended up out here.

I stepped into this adorable little bakery/ Coffee shop and felt the warmth within. All the treats we got were amazing but I want to make sure NOBODY misses the Oatmeal Toffee Cookie! ??
For a brief moment we stepped out of the devastation. So thank you Lazy people lol we are very grateful ? ?

4 only because the coffee wasn’t great.
Cold brew tasted cheap and a dolled up coffee didn’t taste any better either - did not finish it.

But the baking ? look this is the place! The ham and cheese croissant was delicious!

The quiche was yummy - needed for warmed up more and by the time was given it and walked up stairs their line consisted of 30+ people (Saturday 11AM). So just kind of dealt with it being cold.

Two coffees and two sandwiches all in all $22.

Overall would hella go back, just maybe not on a Saturday when the world has the same idea.

They need to use some hair nets...the barista had bushy hair, he kept sweeping it off his face...and sure enough there was a hair on my plate. Yuck. I also think they underestimate the danger of being so close to active train tracks.

Love this place. Awesome baked goods. Nice atmosphere. Employees are cordial and helpful. If you go on Sunday morning, get there before 11:00. Packs up when the churches get out.

It's a pity this place has a great vibe and quality baked goods because their customer service is lacking and their safety practices are nonexistent.

We were pleased the first time we visited. We sat down that time and enjoyed our food in an art gallery adjacent to the shop. But this Saturday was different. My husband stopped by to pick up a box of pastries and coffee to go. When he proceeded to lift his coffee cup to his lips the lid easily came off causing extremely hot coffee to spill all over the front of his shirt.

The cashier said something like "Did the lid pop off on you?" showing zero accountability and trying to deflect. No reaction at all to the customer whose entire chest and belly were just scalded by burning hot coffee. Amazing customer service, right, but more alarming was the lack of adherence to what should be a basic safety standard.

I'm surprised this hasn't happened to more customers. Make sure you double check that your coffee lid is secured properly because the cashier is too NEGLIGENT, sloppy, and busy to actually do this for you.

Maybe they should better train their staff on standard safety practices and multitasking skills? Maybe they should train their staff to take the time to properly and completely secure coffee lids? Or maybe give the customer a warning that the lid isn't securely placed? Or how about just leave the lid off entirely to not give customers the ILLUSION that it is securely placed.

This hazard could have easily been avoided. My husband now has redness, pain, and blisters on his chest and abdomen thanks to this. A business should have more awareness, caution, and care to minimize safety hazards for their customers. Shame on Lazy Lady Baking for not prioritizing this.

Discovered this fabulous little bakery/specialty coffee place. Located inside the Fischman Gallery to view a painting of a friend-cute sunny little gallery at 133 N. Commerce St., JC. Had over the top outstanding lattes and "Cruffins", muffin-shaped, crispy, buttery croissant filled with exquisite pastry cream. These were among the best bakery treats these two foodies have ever had! We learned they have a monthly changing menu of sweet and savory artisan baked goods. We will most certainly be back!

Very quirky and small place. I expected a full sized bakery. Hard to find from the outside and you still have to hunt for it inside the building. Cinnamon buns were only fair and too sweet. I'll need to be desperate to return.
