As someone who isn't from Tennessee, and joined the bar scene not long after moving out here in 2019, Numans has always been the best bar I have been to. The staff are so friendly, the food hits the spot ALWAYS, and the drinks are phenomenal. Feels like we're all family when walking in and the employees definitely help that.

I love that Johnson City has a place to play pool. The tables cost a dollar a game. They are in pretty good condition and level for a good fair game. The beer is nice and cold and a fair price.
Have gone 5 or 6 times and generally it's ok most of the bartenders I've dealt with are horribly rude. Last night I had Tori she was the first bartender that I've dealt with that was Amazing she was awesome. However my entire night was ruined thanks to "Stretch" or as he told us that night "Slim" whom is Incredibly unprofessional and should under no circumstances work with people. He has absolutely no tact resorted to petulant childish name called because someone was asking a question. He is highly unprofessional and inflammatory.

Roaches everywhere. Great drinks and most of the bartenders serve well, but as I stated, there are roaches every time we come. Very afraid to get food after seeing so many. Would love to come back if they fix the problem.

I frequently come to this establishment, and last night in the below freezing weather, my friends and I tried to sit inside until our uber got there. While the male bouncer (about 6’2, dirty blond long hair, and unkept beard), allowed two men to enter right before us. I tried to enter as well, and said bouncer put his hands on my shoulders and pushed me. My friends and I found this behavior to be appalling and flat out unprofessional. I wish I could’ve caught this unfeeling bouncer’s name, but I unfortunately did not. Please do not employ men who will resort to putting their hands on others in situations where it is NOT justified/ warranted.
Pool tables are horrible. They need to have new felt and leveled. It's ashame the place has went down hill since Dan "the owner " past away.
Great place to play pool. Great service. Yet the cleanliness from the bar and restrooms could use more attention.
