I needed a last-minute birthday plan for a 12-year old on a Wednesday evening. We booked the Dr. Jeckle and Mr Hyde Escape room. There were only two of us (generally this room has a 4 person minimum) and my brain cannot understand riddles and clues, but my son had an AMAZING time. An actor in-character was included who made the entire experience so much better. My son has already returned with his father to do the Excalibur room. We plan on going back again in a few weeks for a Mystery dinner. This place is a gem.

Good luck planning ahead…The only thing my 10 yo wanted for her birthday was to do an escape room with her friends. About 6 weeks in advance I booked Perplexodus online for a Saturday afternoon. About a week or so later I get an email that my reservation was cancelled and my deposit refunded, with no call or other explanation. When I check their availability for the same date, everything is SOLD OUT. I checked Sunday of the same weekend and there were openings. I booked for Sunday AND called to make sure there wouldn’t be an issue. A young man explained that they added the dinner show back in for Saturday and don’t run the escape rooms on those days but Sunday would be ok. I pointed out a phone call with the cancellation would have been appreciated. He apologized and said he would pass it on to the manager. I extended the invitation to my daughters friends and made all the plans…It is now Sunday morning and I receive a text at 4am that my reservation has been cancelled due to a family emergency!!! How is there no redundancy for a small business where every service they provide is likely pre-planned/requires a reservation??? There is not one single person they can fall back on as a back-up to come in and run the rooms?Thank goodness Elizabethton Escape is alsoopen on Sunday and had an opening for this afternoon. Otherwise, I would have had to disappoint 4 young girls who have been anticipating this day for weeks.

I absolutely loved it! We did the murder mystery dinner and it was so fun and the food was delicious. I absolutely loved all the characters and the actors killed it.. literally. Will for sure be there again!

This was so much fun! The food was great! The staff/actors were the best. We all loved it and will definitely go back again to see another show! We’ve been to an escape room as well with PerplExodus and had an absolute blast! Highly recommend!!!
