Oh my gosh, what a great place. My server was Emily, and she was the sweetest, most gracious waitress. I want to be seated in her area from now on when we go. Hold on to that girl Smokey Bones !!

We had attended a concert at ETSU and looked for a place for late eats. Well this Smokey Bones location was busy and we found this location to be fabulous. All our food was excellent. The three pretzel app was so good. I had a side salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. The barbecue sandwich with sweet potato frys was deliscious. The grilled cheese with barbecue was amazingly good with a side of deliscious Mac and cheese. All the food was spot on. The real beauty of our late night meal was definitely Simone. She was doing it all. What an amazing personality. Simone made our visit a highlight to our great night. We would go back to eat here again to see Simone. Hope she gets recognized for her brilliance. Thank you Simone for your beautiful personality.
After hearing about 'happy hour' and pool tables at the Smokey Bones, we decided to try the restaurant. The first thing we noticed was the repeated phrases of 'sorry we are out of that'. The restaurant was out of sodas, appetizers, and a lot of menu items we went to order. We should have taken that as a sign to stay away, but we felt like giving what we could order a try. We had issues with the temperature on various meat dishes. Several menu items were not the best. Also - the alcohol drinks were not the best. We had featured drinks from the menu that were missing key ingredients because 'we were out'. Strange....so strange. The mixologist is not the best, so everyone at the table was disappointed with their mixed drinks. We will skip dining at Smokey Bones in Johnson City again. This experience was so 'poor' I think it has ruined us from ever stepping foot in the chain in any state.
In my search for a good hamburger, I wish I had stayed away from here. The absolute worst, an unmitigated disaster. It was like trying to eat a hockey puck. Besides being hard and dry, there was no flavor. It was also sloppily dressed. The crinkle fries are like the ones you can buy in the frozen section at Walmart.

First visit to a Smokey Bones and it will likely be my last. The food was salty and greasy. The service was slow and the place was noisy
Definitely the worst burger I've ever had. Dry. Over cooked. No seasoning. The fries actually came out pretty good but unfortunately there's literally nothing on them no salt no seasoning. Pathetic. I'll never use this place again.
Visited my older brother Darwin and we always stop at Smokey Bones. We both had create your own combo 1 and we were not disappointed. Great food and service.

Burger tastes like a cheap frozen patty from Walmart with no seasoning. Fries are ok.
I ordered the combo with ribs and pulled pork. Both were good. Since I am low carb, I asked for the salad and broccoli. There not many options for low carb. The service was good.
First time and last ordering from here. The fries and bun on my burger came very soggy and unpleasant to eat. I see other reviews claiming the same. If this place wants to stay in business they will find a way to fix this.
First, I'm surprised that the newest review is December 2020, how can that be? I ordered a pulled pork platter and two sides. As the place was not busy, maybe 10 tables occupied, I didn't expect to wait 45 minutes for my food to arrive. In fact I was on my way out when I met my server by the hostess desk. The pulled pork was just OK, it had no flavor of its own and no smoke at all. Fries were good, but I had got ask for ketchup. The baked beans were good, but the portion was very small. After I finished my meal, I waited and waited for my check, finally walking up to the hostess station which had no one there either. My server finally noticed me and brought me my check. I requested to speak with the manager five times before he came out. He said some people failed to show up for work, but I think that was a lame excuse as there just weren't that many people there. The manager offered the refund my bill, but I refused as I had eaten a meal and felt it wrong to expect a refund. In any case, I will not return ever again.
For a place called The Burger Experience it was a big disappointment. Fries were ok but the meat for the patties was way over processed and completely under seasoned. If you are thinking about getting a burger you’d be better off making it yourself or getting fast food. Don’t waste your money on this.
