It's cozy and a perfect place to take a stop at! Would recomend for anyone in the area. I loved the matcha elderberry drink and my father thought the mocha coffee was one of the best he had in the state.

Wow, what a gem in Johnson City. Employees were genuine, kind, and hospitable. Very cute atmosphere and high quality, interesting beverages. You can tell their intention is to preserve the integrity of the tea and coffee they serve, rather than bury them under a bunch of artificial syrups. Highly recommend!

there should be a seven star rating. i’ve been around ‘the rock’ and this is one of. good coffee, intentional furniture, great backstory (ask Brett), smart food. and then there is the eclectic group of people that hang out here. think chaos theory and merlin (clearly metaphor). the lse started as a coffee shop so.

My partner and I came to Johnson city for a day trip from Asheville and grabbed an early morning coffee. Both of our coffees were delicious, both workers checked on us several times to make sure everything was great and even offered to make us something different if we didn’t like what we had chosen (we loved what we chose). Will definitely pop in next time we are in town!

Tried for the first time today, was skeptical, but boy was I wrong for that! I like sweet coffee, I want to get a hint of the coffee flavor, but can't stand when it's overly bitter. Asked the owner for his recommendation for a sweeter drink, he made one, I told him I usually go for caramel flavored stuff, so he went back to his recommendation and said he could add caramel to it. SO good! And the owner was super friendly too, definitely will return soon!

Made this place my new regular coffee shop in recent months. It is always super busy in the mornings, at least on the weekdays, but I never have to wait super long for my coffee at all. Something that's always been a huge problem for me is some establishments kinda make you feel like youre annoying just for ordering a single coffee, lol. Everyone here at The Moon is SUPER friendly and I never feel like I'm bothering someone when I order or ask a question about anything, unlike major chains and other local coffee spots as of recent. The pricing is also great, especially because I always opt for an alternative milk. Never a bad experience here, or a bad coffee. :)

I’ve been on the hunt for a good coffee shop in Jc that has awesome coffee and actual food and this place is it!!! The staff is always incredibly nice and everything I’ve gotten here has been delicious (coffee, sandwiches, pastries, etc). They have a huge variety of both coffee and teas, and the space itself is full of light and plants. This is my new go-to!

Went for a meetup with some college group friends. The coffee was fantastic, I had the Luna Latte and it was really good. The atmosphere was great, the owner was a really nice guy, definitely worth it if you're looking for a good coffee or tea in JC.
