Amazing third space in the Tri-Cities! Love the welcoming vibe, helpful staff and the tea was delicious too.

"A philosopher is someone who studies ideas about knowledge, truth, and the meaning and nature of life. They may also be someone who offers views or theories on profound questions in fields like ethics, logic, and metaphysics." I would avoid this place at all costs. The manager there, Ren, has on more than one occasion rudely attacked my different than her opinions. Can we just disagree without insinuating other people are stupid, or is this what being a good human in the tri cities is really all about? Her hateful comments landed on a day I had already found out a friend died from drug abuse, I was already depressed and considering relapsing. Her being extra rude, for no good reason has really rustled my jimmies, and I'm tired of people putting on a facade for Facebook. Just be kind, you never know what others or going through, we reap what we sow.

So cozy, I love all the alcoves and small areas. The chai latte is the Chai latte I have been searching for my whole life. What a magical place to share a cuppa with my friends!!

Such a calming environment. Multiple private rooms to sit and sip your tea or read a book. There is also a hosting space upstairs.

This is a brilliant local tea shop which also hosts artist events. Sign up to drink tea with cats to support a local cat charity! Join a meditation class! The schedule of events is posted online and in-shop. Even better? The Philosopher's Tea House makes non-dairy milks (coconut or oat) the standard in drinks (and cow's milk comes with a slight up-charge). There are so many teas to choose from including seasonal specials. You can get a share pot or single cups. They have lovely tea ceremony options as well. This is a local gem. There are small rooms that you can sit in or choose to have tea in the large main space. The seats are comfy and WiFi is available. Sometimes there are vegan cookies to eat. The hummus plate is vegan-friendly.

I had the most relaxing visit tonight, we were greeted warmly at the door and the employees were so knowledgeable and helpful! The environment is beyond peaceful and there were so many cute places to sit and enjoy the amazing products offered! I will 100% be back.

What a gem! The Philosopher's House is a wonderful tea house and community space. They have every tea you could want, small bites from local bakeries, and plenty of comfy seating to relax or work. I love coming here in the afternoon for a matcha latte or London fog. They have a bunch of community events too like sewing classes or live music. Seriously a gem of the Tricities!

The place has a wonderful snug atomosphere matched with their wonderful in housr teas. They have everything to try from basic herbals all the way to housemade specialties. I actually came here for some of the events and activities they have here, which are great and definitely worth visiting!

What is this place? I know what it takes to run a business. Are you running on government subsidies? Tax loop hole? Laundry? Strange place. They don't want to actually sell anything and their staff are always with a sideways attitude.

when i first heard about the teahouse, i couldn't picture it because it was such a unique idea. i wondered how the heck was that going to work. but the minute i stepped inside, i knew. it was an all encompassing feeling of comfort and serenity. i'm not even a tea drinker but ren allen has consistently found teas that i actually enjoyed. and the hummus plates are very satisfying, enough for a lunch. i love the big open fireplace room, as well as the cozy, small rooms. i've gone to yoga in the event room upstairs and it is like an oasis from everything else going on downstairs. there are tons of activities and groups meeting here now. it's become a community hub and i can't imagine a better place to chill.
