We stayed at the Carnegie Hotel, which made Wellington’s a great dinner choice. Service was excellent, dinner entrees were delicious…. The only thing that was left be desired was dessert- which was mediocre. I would eat here again.

I was staying at the Carnegie, so I went down to Wellington to order a cappuccino. I was told that their espresso machine was broken, but I could get free coffee in the Carnegie lobby. No problem. However, that night I went down to order dessert to take back to the room. I spoke with the host (super nice guy) regarding my best choices, and ordered the Bananas Foster with an extra side of ice cream to split with my husband. I realized they couldn’t do table side flambé, but was told they’d carmelize the bananas with the sauce, and put it in the takeout container. When I got back to the room, the “Bananas Foster” was 1/2 of a banana, sliced lengthwise—no carmelization, cooking, heating at all—with a scoop of ice cream and a squirt of Redi-Whip. HUGE disappointment, and something I could have legit made in the room for far less than $18. What a letdown.

Fantastic restaurant with delicious dishes, inventive cocktails, and a cozy, stylish atmosphere. Everything—from the food to the drinks—was spot on. Can’t wait to come back!

First of all, the Wellington bar is excellent with knowledgeable and affable bartenders, but the restaurant needs the cable guy from “Restaurant Makeover” to overhaul it. The service is similar to Applebees, in the kitchen I watched where there seemed to be a disconnect between servers and staff, both were loitering as if they didn’t know what to do next, i.e server's waiting and cook staff waiting…but for what? Our entrees came abnormally late, they forgot a steak sauce. Our server should be pouring water and be more attentive but we rarely saw her. I am truly disappointed and expected more as a “high end” restaurant. This is the third time here, I am a tv news anchor and have done stories on the history and ambience of the hotel but have to admit the restaurant doesn’t measure up. We’ll come again but go to another restraint from now on.

Just a stellar place, man. Huge selection of bourbon and whiskey. Outstanding food, especially the brussel sprouts and the burger. Wonderful atmosphere and top notch service. Would definitely eat here more often if I could. Bit pricey but it’s a 4-star hotel so that’s understood. Gotta give props

Very nice restaurant, I had the house filet and my wife had the hamburger. Mine was done perfectly (rare) and hers had to go back, it was way over cooked. They were quick to get her replacement out. Overall we had a nice time with some good friends.

I recently enjoyed dinner at Wellington’s with my girlfriend and parents on a Sunday evening. We were greeted with warmth, and escorted to a dark wood table next to a stone fireplace.
As appetizers, we ordered the fried dill pickles and collard green dip. The fried pickles came as thick-cut chips with a dipping sauce. The dipping sauce appeared to be ranch, but was actually a slightly sweet sauce which did not pair well with the dill pickles; it was cloying. The pickles were delicious on their own. The collard green dip was smooth, creamy, and tasty! However, the collards were not cut to an appropriate size. We had several large pieces of greens, including a large, tough, 3” leaf. One star was taken away from food rating because of the appetizer issues.
The main course was evenly split among our party: 2 filet tips in Yee-Haw Dunkel Sauce, and 2 seared scallops. The main courses were beyond reproach. The filet tips were tender, moist, and in one of the most delicious sauces I’ve ever tasted. The seared scallops were excellent as well; properly cooked, appealing seared, and paired with delicious sides. Wellington’s managed to make spinach appealing for me by saiteeing it with country ham. I also ordered the roasted mushrooms, and they had a deep, toasted, umami flavor - very well cooked!
Dessert is where the food lost another star and service lost a star. Our waiter listed the desserts, and we ordered a couple dark chocolate Panna Cottas to split. They came, and something was immediately amiss: the texture was too loose and the dessert spreading on the plate. The flavor was decent, but completely lacked the rich, creaminess associated with a panna cotta. When I inquired, the waiter later informed me that it was vegan; he did not share this fact earlier. A vegan panna cotta is not a real panna cotta. It tasted too light, too airy, and resembled a loose pudding. Will definitely be returning, but ordering different appetizers and desserts.

Traveling for the night, staying at the hotel. I Never review restaurants. Read the reviews, some are not great reviews. This place is solid, solid choice. Stayed at the hotel and would definitely eat here again.
Filet and Caesar. Bar has 5* cocktails IMO.
Solid 4*, much better than a lot of the reviews I read.
Can’t really say more than that is a great place to dine alone or with a group of people. Service, atmosphere, food, and aesthetics were all top notch. Shout out to Dev for the amazing service and quality drinks serving behind the bar.
The food was great! Morning drinks were equally as great!
