Great place for a cozy dinner for two, or a large group, and always good variety on the menu. Steaks are always cooked to perfection. Servers are friendly, attentive, and well informed on menu items to offer suggestions. The crispy Salmon is very good, as are all their steaks. Recommend trying the deconstructed Wellington. Their deserts are great as well. Don't miss trying the deviled eggs as an appetizer, which I order every time. Wander down to the hall past the bar, for a nice place to sit and relax with an after dinner drink from the bar. Great atmosphere.
I recommend making a reservation, however worth the wait if you dont.

We went here with a party of five. This place is very underwhelming. The temperature of the fries were cold. The service was lukewarm, in the demeanor of the servers was just very mild.
The quality of the food was just what you would expect from a mid range restaurant. We ordered the deconstructed beef, Wellington, the Angus burger, and the pork steaks. We had appetizer pickles.
The pricing was egregious. For a dinner for five with two appetizers five entrées, we paid $330. I seriously recommend you take your money elsewhere if you’re looking to enjoy a nice dinner.

While visiting the area was wanting a steak, was local for local not your chain restaurants. Found this place on google had mixed reviews but gave it ago. Wife and I both ordered Filet, I had fries she had sweet potatoes. I gave them a 4 for several reason. Steak came out almost well done and we ordered medium, server never did a table check until we where nearly done eating, the manager comped our meals which we appreciated but the manager on duty never came out to address the issue. Just hard to give 5 stars, when I am paying $50 per steak we get this kind of service. Although we will say even though steak was over cooked it still had good flavor and the sides were really good. If I am ever back in the area again I will give them another shot

looked the menu over and really did not seem appealing to me. I was with my son and his wife, their treat, I really did not want to order a thing. My son pursued me into the seafood rice? As I like all the things it SAID was supposed to be in it. Well it was luke warm first of all! Watery, I have no idea where the lobster was, NONE, reeked of bad salmon smell. Flaked small pieces very dry, 2 shimps displayed on top and no lemon. Flavorless watery rice. String beans best part, had about 15 really skinny ones on top of the mess.. Ordered fried green tomatoes, they were cold, top was soggy. 3 tomatoes only. I was given sample of sons steak tips, horrible and cold. He ate it because the restaurant pasod only. Cheese platter, was fair. Cubed cheese was like peppjack, no flavor. Bland pimento cheese. Grits were cold, Flavorless, bland pimento cheese. I knew from the start this was not top notch by what they offer. Very over priced whole sale food in perspective. The restaurant itself was a 3 star setting. If you go in casual like shorts and tennis shoes hair pulled back, you will be seated in the back of restaurant. My daughter in law noticed it. I looked around and she was correct. We arrived around 5p.m. or so and there were only 3 booths taken, one table and towards back to my rigt was a couple at that table. Then in back two tables were taken. So why not seat us in front in a booth. Waitress waited on our table for order, brought cold horrible food, came by once then to bringing our bill. On our end of meal daughter in law pointed out to the outside of back on left going out were business men dress in suits. What does that say as to where you are seated and by your attire? Yes I am very uusatisfied with how we were treated and quality of food, cold, low quality and who hired the managemt as well as the chef? Final thoughts, wished I hadn't ordered anything and wasted my sons money.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here while away on business. Such a great experience! Our service was fantastic! The food and wine were perfect! We couldn’t have had a better experience. If you’re in the Johnson City area, you have to give Wellington’s a try!

I can always do without snarkiness from people who are waiting tables. “If you’re at a restaurant “hot” means temperature and “spicy” means spice?”
Seriously. We were not even a little bit rude and it truly was uncalled for. I’m going to assume they had a bad day since they were switching people between tables. I still think being rude is unacceptable. Yes I left a tip but still…

We stayed at the Carnegie Hotel, which made Wellington’s a great dinner choice. Service was excellent, dinner entrees were delicious…. The only thing that was left be desired was dessert- which was mediocre. I would eat here again.

I was staying at the Carnegie, so I went down to Wellington to order a cappuccino. I was told that their espresso machine was broken, but I could get free coffee in the Carnegie lobby. No problem. However, that night I went down to order dessert to take back to the room. I spoke with the host (super nice guy) regarding my best choices, and ordered the Bananas Foster with an extra side of ice cream to split with my husband. I realized they couldn’t do table side flambé, but was told they’d carmelize the bananas with the sauce, and put it in the takeout container. When I got back to the room, the “Bananas Foster” was 1/2 of a banana, sliced lengthwise—no carmelization, cooking, heating at all—with a scoop of ice cream and a squirt of Redi-Whip. HUGE disappointment, and something I could have legit made in the room for far less than $18. What a letdown.
