My boyfriend and I visited your location today, and there was an older lady working. With only one other guest in line, we never expected to be treated the way we were. We were both really excited about getting a good milkshake, which is hard to find around here.

When the lady asked, “What are you guys wanting?” it came across as rude—especially since we didn’t even get a greeting when we walked in. We brushed it off, but when I told her what I wanted, it seemed like it was such an inconvenience. I politely said, “Can I get a regular birthday cake milkshake, please?” I wasn’t rude at all.

She had already grabbed a regular cup for scoops of ice cream and, under her breath, said “Oh my God,” which I found very unprofessional. After my interaction, she asked my boyfriend what he wanted, and she seemed even more annoyed when he also asked for a milkshake. The blenders were already clean, so I don’t understand why it was such a big deal.

Overall, the way we were treated did not feel up to standard, and unfortunately, we won’t be coming back for a while.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BUISNESS!! I am incredibly angry after I ordered an ice cream cake from this place and didn’t even get what was supposed to be included in the description . HOW DO YOU MESS UP ICE CREAM JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS !! This is so disappointing . I can tell they have teenagers working here with how terrible this cake came out .

The WORST experience I have ever had at Marble Slab. There must be new ownership since I was here a few years back. NONE of the employees wear gloves, they visibly wiped off the ice cream on their apron and continued on. All 4 employees kept gathering together and were NOT efficient whatsoever. My ice cream toppings were NOT even mixed in all the way, very half *ssed. Then to top it off the person who refilled the spoon dispenser used their bare hands on the scoop to place them in the rack. Will not be back ever. Never would’ve expected this business to have gone so carelessly downhill. A nice treat for Mothers Day turned into a very dissatisfying and disappointing annoyance.

Good ice cream. Still on the expensive side, but there aren't very many options in Kingsport unless you go to a fast food restaurant. They are busiest on Saturdays and could definitely schedule more help to get the line moving.

Awesome ice cream and choice of mix items.

I have been going to marble slab for years not only for the best Ice cream treats but for their well known customer service. I went on (3/02/2025) to get what I always get, a small strawberry milkshake. The woman serving us yelled out very rudely “JEEZ!!!” In front of us and other customers, throwing her hands up in the air as if it is a burden to make a simple milkshake. She also was “huffing and puffing” because it was such a burden and big deal to make a customer a milkshake. She slammed the lid of the blender down on the counter very loud in front of all customers. Then very hateful asked what size. We decided to ignore her and leave to prevent any further escalation. This is embarrassing. I hope her attitude changes and she gets a reality check. After the incident, The owner emailed me and took care of the situation. She was very kind and made up for the incident. She gave us 2 free items of choice and deeply apologized for the inconvenience. Even though I had a negative encounter and it really was out of proportion, the owner was very generous and made up for it. We will still continue to come here for a delicious treat

Horrible customer service would be better off getting ice cream from the store

I ordered a cake on 02/06/25 for a surprise party I was throwing on the 8th. Well they had a scheduling issue and the person who was supposed to make the cake never did. They made my order on the spot and even gave me my cake for free instead of 50% which I was still happy to pay. They made my day, so please bring your business here, they are good people.

absolutely horrible customer service!!! paid $27 dollars for 2 ice creams she gave me the wrong flavor and told me to buy another one and that she can’t just simply replace it

Came in and asked for a milk shake and she mumbled under her breath “I knew you were gonna say that” as if it was going to be a hassle. I made her repeat what she said because I honestly couldn’t believe it. The ice cream may be good but the service is not good. And as expensive as the prices are I’ll go some where else and get it half the price with probably happier employees.
