Delicious Food & Great Vibes – Loved the Philly Steak at Sloopy’s! Sloopy’s Diner is an absolute gem! I stopped in for a bite and was blown away by the Philly cheesesteak — hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned, loaded with flavor, and served piping hot on a soft, fresh roll. Every bite was pure comfort food bliss! The diner has a cozy, nostalgic vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. You can tell they take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for great food, good prices, and a place with real heart, Sloopy’s Diner should be at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be back — and next time, I might just have to try the whole menu!

Great Lil old school burger joint. Got Philly steak, fries and onion rings ...really good! Ordered by phone and was ready exactly when I told them I'd be there at lunch time! Got it to go at the drive through window!

Very cute neighborhood hole in the wall, we ordered one bacon burger with no cheese and said yes to all other toppings. The burger arrived with only bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. Also ordered a bacon cheddar burger with everything. It came with no lettuce, tomato or cheese! One burger had pickles the other didn't. It's like we asked for one without cheese and they got completely confused. The food was alright, nothing special about it. We will not be going back.
This was our first time at Sloopy’s Diner, but it won’t be our last. We thought the service was very friendly and accommodating. I felt like we got our food in a fashion and we thought it was great! Can’t wait to go back 👍🏼 The lady who took our order was great and made us feel very welcome. It was clear while we there that they treat their customers like friends.

I should break 4 MILLION with this review :) ..This is a place where they know their costumers names. Nice little local spot diner style. Old building, decor etc.. Love the vibes and the enthusiasm for the costumers, real personal place. Spend a lot of energy providing good service but no extra time spent on the food. You get a prepared (Frozen) 8oz. Patty. Which is fine if you can figure out how to get that natural taste into one, or any taste for that matter. I got it plain lettuce tomato, etc which was all fresh,. I opted to pair it with a Huge drink and 5 onion rings that taste as if they not only had been frozen too Long but an after thought as well. For the $ I leave here feeling disappointed that I am disappointed. I strongly Dislike saying anything bad about local family spots trying to keep the doors open and provide. However if they don't care any more about the product they are putting out then maybe it shouldn't bother me for what I have to say. Have some pride Compete, go to a local competition, do something, raise the bar even if we have to pay $2 more. GO Sloopy & BTW this was my 3rd time here Guys over a 2 year period why they are just now getting a review , for all my locals didn't bother with pics, everyone knows where it is.

The burger I ordered tasted like a burger you would get from a school. It didn't't taste like a real beef patty would. (Not sure what kind they use but just tasted weird) The fries were good and the sweet tea as well.

One of the best diners in kingsport! This place has been around for so many years. I've known the owners and new owner and this place has always been loved and cared for by those running it and working there. If you need a good lsugh and pick me up make sure you go when Jan is working ! You just don't get the hospitality and love you recieve there from most places these days. it's always a STRUGGLE on ordering too bc the food is so good.
If you want a good family friendly atmosphere and a good burger and fries this is the perfect place. ❤️
