We have eaten here several times and the food and service have always been very good until today. The server was someone we have never seen before and did not understand English very well. She got most of our order wrong and it had to be sent back and was wrong the 2nd time too. The food has always been very fresh and hot before, but the mushrooms and pico were both old and very mushy. The food has definitely changed. This was our favorite Mexican restaurant, but not after today.

My order was made incorrectly and the manager bent over backwards to make things right. The food is always fresh and delicious. 11/10 reccommend!

Absolutely wonderful food, service and experience every single time. I've never been disappointed! They are kind and accommodating! The food is always incredibly fresh and extremely well seasoned. Highly suggest them over the other Mexican restaurants nearby. Highly suggest trying their authentic mexican menu ~

Food & service are great! You can find more authentic Mexican cuisine here than most places around. The Choriqueso and quesabirrias are must trys!

Just got done eating here and the food is delicious! Came for lunch and had the Burrito Jalisco, for a lunch burrito it was huge! I didn’t think to take any pictures because we devoured our food, we will definitely be back!

I came in from Arkansas and I love Mexican food! I have Celiac Disease and that means I’m allergic to wheat/flour. I placed two orders with them and I called to let them know my situation. They were so sweet and understanding! I appreciate them! The food is amazing, if I could give them 10 stars I would!Dietary restrictions: They will accommodate Celiac Disease by replacing flour tortillas with corn!

Ordered the quesabirria tacos on door dash, with a side of fried jalapeños. OH MY WORD. Sooo yummy! So excited that Kingsport finally has birria!!! Can't wait to order again!!

I'm so happy to have discovered this diamond in the rough! After recently moving from TX, it was clear that it was going to be challenging to find a good, decent Mexican cuisine that wasn't a chain or fast food. And then I found Tacos El Mariachi on DoorDash - since I often work from home, I thought to give them a try for lunch. And I tried them again. And again. And again. And again. =) My favorite dish has been the chimichanga - this is such a generous helping! (Please don't change this!) Then I started on the tacos. You know this is legit because they offer it 2 ways - American-Mex which is with shredded cheese and lettuce and then authentic Mexican with cilantro, sliced radish, onion and lime wedges. Mexican all the way!! After DoorDashing for a couple of months, I decided to make a dine-in visit. The staff is very friendly and I can brush up on my español - which I enjoy. While the environment is unassuming, this place makes it up with truly, authentic and delicious dishes. I would give more stars if I could. Just note that the prices on their menus is cash paying, if you are going to pay by credit card, there is a small nominal percent. (I'm learning that is a common practice at a lot of local places here in the area.)

Food was not very good. The chile Colorado did not have the tomatillo liquified all the way a lot of salsa thorns still in there. It was reheated in the microwave you could taste it. Wouldn’t recommend this place and I won’t return not very good. The server was friendly that’s the only good thing.

I really wanted to like this place and I honestly hate leaving bad reviews but I am so disappointed. I ordered 2 orders of the birria tacos through DoorDash and only received two tacos. They was extremely soggy and not crunchy like most birria tacos are. The dipping sauce also tasted like water down tomato soup. The only thing that saved my meal was the cheese dip that was pretty great! I’m not sure what happened but in the picture it showed three birria tacos for one order. So me and my partner got a taco a piece for 6$… Because half my order and was left out.

The cheese dip was good. The chips were greasy and fried in old oil. The Mexican tacos had as much stinky white onion as meat. Don’t get me wrong the meat tasted good just doesn’t need cheap stinky whole white onion on each taco. Guac tasted like lime and no avacado flavor, was dark colored. Chicken in Monterey dish was horribly over cooked but the onions (more stinky white) and peppers were barely cooked. Refried beans were way over cooked as well.Won’t be returning!

Used to be El Loco Taqueria One of the few things I miss about living out West was the authentic Mexican food which has been harder for us to find since we moved to Tennessee. That was until we discovered Tacos El Mariachi. The servers are all pleasant and the place offers both dine-in and carryout. They offer tacos in both the American West-Mex (shredded cheese, lettuce, etc) style as well as the authentic Mexican style ( cilantro, onion, cotija, cheese, radish, lime). I personally love the fish, beef tongue, and beef Mexican style tacos, while my wife loves the beef, chicken, and fish American style tacos. The ceviche is also phenomenal. This our favorite lunch spot at work and I highly recommend it!

My husband and I love this place for tacos! We have been there few times, but always order taco, which are amazing! BUT!! Today a friend and I went to get taco salads! The worst I've had ever! I'm giving it a one-star because the shell looked really really good, but it literally was a pool of soupy juice swimming around and it was lettuce tomatoes onions and clumps of warm melted sour cream, it was hot! I have had Taco salads a lot in my lifetime and it's honestly was the worst I didn't want to do this review because I really like the place for tacos but if you planning on eating a taco salad from this place please refrain from it if you don't want your lettuce and tomato and onions swimming in, my friend got the same thing and he was so disgusted he wouldn't eat it so he sent his. We live in Tennessee and we've been here a few years and it's real hard to find a really good restaurant I got a taco salad at another local Mexican restaurant close to my home and the same thing it was soupy I don't know what it is in this area why they serve super hot

I've had their tacos, tortas, fajitas, barbacoa, ceviche.... You name it and I've probably tried it!I've never once been disappointed with my food or drinks, ordering barbacoa and jamaica on the weekends has become a regular occurrence for me. They make their own hot sauces that go well with everything, especially their tacos.
