I’ve only ever known this place as The Stone, and what strikes me most is the sense of real heart behind it. The owner’s nonprofit background—dedicated to helping the homeless—brings a human touch that really permeates how the restaurant feels and operates.

Very unwelcoming. I asked to have my beer on the porch. They have a ledge/ counter built out there. Some big goon with angry eyes and a bad attitude denied me beer and even water. I was going to eat and drink, instead I left and will never be back.
