We ate here on fall break while visiting our son at UTK. The vibe is great, the staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.

Best southern food I've ever had! I am not usually one to enjoy southern food, but this one was amazing! Has lots of vegetarian options, the steak was the best in the area, and the aesthetic is so pretty! 10/10 would come again.

Kinda hard to find gems like these- I honestly struggled to find it for .5 seconds because they have a very cool vintage market right in front. This place is literally inside a church and the decor and atmosphere is to die for. Not only that but they have some pretty inclusive options for my vegetarian girlfriend. We struggle to find places to eat together bc I like southern and she’s Vietnamese and this place managed to be good enough for both of us and that’s extremely rare. Best place I’ve been to in my travels to Tennessee. You guys are awesome!!!

Such a great atmosphere, beautiful old church that has been renovated into a restaurant. Prices are affordable, food was decent, staff was great. Our waiter was busy but was still fabulous.

The menu needs to be more detailed. Last I knew chimicurri was not a mayo thank you. And when your dish says battered fries and the waiter says no it doesn’t hold oncome with but the menu says otherwise…. Get more detailed

Omg loved the whole atmosphere of the 71 South which is in an old church even have pews to sit in great food and drinks do yourself a favor and experience this place you’ll it.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is top notch and the staff is friendly. Lizz took care of me at the bar for a quick dinner. She is an asset to the team! I had the southern fried chicken sandwich and it was perfectly cooked- juicy chicken and a slight bite to the pimento. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Lizz recommend an avocado aoli dip for the fries and they went great together. I came here last week for the first time and had the salmon. It was perfect as well. I travel and eat out quite a bit, and I don't normally post reviews unless the experience and food are both amazing. Give this place a try- you will NOT be disappointed.

This was the best food we’ve had in East Tennessee. Our waitress/bartender was Claudia & she made amazing drinks and was incredible!

Visited today for the first time and had lunch. The side salad is very reasonably priced and the house ranch dressing was delicious if you’re a ranch fan! We had the steak sandwich and 71 Smash burger. Both had great taste and were perfect for lunch. The fries are amazing, don’t miss out on those! Our server was by herself today and did an amazing job, was friendly and awesome. Definitely recommend visiting this establishment and enjoying the beautiful atmosphere.

Steak and Chimichurri was amazing. Beautiful building. Salad was fresh, ranch dressing was bomb. Halona our server was super polite, helpful and gave great service. The apple funnel cake for desert was also wonderful!! Would definitely come back when in town. Overall awesome experience.
