I love the food truck and the location over near Cedar Bluff. This location leaves something to be desired. The wait staff are not very friendly and the way that they serve guests inside just seems chaotic and unorganized.

Beers fine. Management policies are terrible. I have literally never been to a place with more arbitrary rules. It’s not one or two experiences… it is been every time.

Arrived at 5:30 Friday night. Dining room was less than half full. Outside tables were 90% seated. Hostess was great. She warned us that our car would be towed even after hours if we parked at the doctors office on the hill behind the building. Initially our server was great but she was replaced by one that was wasn’t. The food took a full half hour to arrive, and it arrived in stages. My wife was finished with her sandwich before my burger arrived. I low key complained and our new server said that’s just how we do things here. We don’t hold food back if it’s ready, even if someone else’s is t ready. I suggested better timing on the front end rather than making guests awkwardly eat (and starve) on then back end, but she seemed to blow that suggestion off. When my burger did finally arrive 40 something minutes after I ordered it, was I surprised it was overcooked? Not really. Overall the food was greasy, fries seemed to have been cooked, discarded and then cooked again judging by the hollow, tasteless texture and dark coloration of half of them. Water was served warm at room temperature with no ice and when I asked for ice I was told there would be a wait for that. $40 for two people plus another $8 for a tip was a very big ask IMO. Never going back.

Great food and great beer with an awesome atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and we will be back soon!

Update 11/23/21: Back since a long delay due to COVID but I am still impressed. The burgers, pot roast nachos and pretzels were amazing (but not as amazing as the beer)! They have a well rounded selection of phenomenal beers and cannot wait to be back!!

Update 10/05/2024:
We went for lunch and beers with friends. Had a great time and the space gets better every year. Highly recommend!

We walked the two blocks to this neighborhood location. Two of our 50 yo 7 person party w/ a 9 yo,had travelers and put cans in the trash outside. We all ordered 1 beer and food. The manager cut our entire party off without a word. If he had spoken to us he would have learned some had just escaped the devastation in Asheville, while others had been helping with clean up in Hartford. Isn't this a brewery? Why not just not serve those 2 from the beginning? We happen to have all worked in the industry & know what an over-served person is. This was totally unnecessary, we may not have been mindful and demure enough for young Grayson, but give me a break. I would not recommend going here if you want to enjoy a fun night out with friends. There are plenty of other places in the city that would not treat you with utter disrespect.

Ours was a very bad experience. We'd passed this place many times and finally decided to stop in when passing the other day. 1st, waitress brought us hot water on a 94 degree day. We had to ask for ice. Not a lot of food options. We got nachos with chicken - the chicken was extremely dry and the chips were burnt - not able to eat that. A Ceasar chicken chargrilled salad. The chicken was at least not dry but the salad was soaking wet and not appetizing. The burger our party got was OK. The items were all brought at different times with the salad oddly late and last. Others in the party were done and waiting. Very overpriced for the serving size you get. They had no condiments when asked for something to have with the chips. Overall experience was very disappointing. Wish we keep looking instead of stopping. Maybe stick with alcohol and forget about food.

Love the fried green tomato blt and the soft pretzel with hot pimento cheese. The beers were tastey and I especially enjoyed their tart, oak aged sours. Very kid friendly with a lawn to run and play. Just keep an eye of your kiddo since the lawn is close to a road.

Okay. So, Abridged Beer Co. has THE best burger in Knoxville, hands down y’all. The location in Bearden is my fave. Get the original Abridged Burger.

However, I just went to the Abridged Food Truck at Xulbeer and now I’m torn. They’re both exceptional!!! Also, the gentlemen running it are superb. Do yourself a favor and go to either location.

most of the servers were nice, but there was one who served drinks who was incredibly salty and didn’t look at all happy to do her job. they didn’t automatically give us regular standard things like ice in our water and plates for appetizers. they seemed very absent. i got a honey chicken sandwich that took 45 minutes to get to my table. it ended up being just okay despite the good reviews i’ve seen about this restaurant. unfortunately this was not really worth the time :(
