Prior to the event I felt like communication was well. They were certainly prompt and responded appropriately. For me the food was just ok. The chicken was cooked well but there were several complaints about the steak. It was extremely tough and hard to chew. I wish I had chosen another option for my second meat. I do feel like it was a complete waste of money choosing an option that almost everyone who attempted to eat it complained about. They were on time and the food was hot. That was certainly a plus. I would use them again but definitely would not choose steak as an option. Unfortunately it is one of the things that everyone is talking about!!

We had a wonderful time working with Spaces in the City for our wedding. We chose Jackson Terminal as our venue for several reasons: the space is absolutely gorgeous, its location in Old City gives visitors the best slice of Knoxville, and it’s in the same local business group as Kefi and The Vault which have excellent food and drinks. Even though we were hesitant to commit at first due to the strict contract terms and somewhat unclear pricing, Demi and Hensley worked hard to put us as at ease and were very communicative and professional. We are so glad we chose Spaces, as they handled all the details and kept our stress on the day of to a minimum (in no small part thanks to Laura, the day-of coordinator). Their vendors—DJ Julian, Lisa Foster Floral Design, and All Mixed Up Cakes—were kind and easy to work with, and they produced brilliant results. We had so much fun choosing all the details with them. Everyone who attended our wedding said it was a spectacular event, and many said it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. We loved the space, the food, the drinks, and everything in between!

Poor communication throughout the wedding planning process - be ready to call multiple times to get a response only when you escalate your frustrations. Our contract included a $1300 service fee that clearly states it is for gratuity. I was informed after the event that this fee does not actually go towards tipping the workers of your event, so they hid a random 20% fee and disguised it as a tip when it is not. The servers and bartenders who worked our event were amazing and I’m sad their $1300 tip wasn’t given to them.

They most recently organized the vendors for and catered our son's rehearsal dinner at The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and the Big Fat Greek Wedding at St. George Greek Orthodox church and both were absolutely fabulous. The food and beverages for both occasions was unique for each event, fresh and delicious from appetizers through desserts. The service was impeccable; they did an excellent job and were practically invisible to our guests with their discreet style. The guests raved about the food. Demi literally took care of every detail coordinating with his staff and the numerous vendors for flowers, decor, bar service, music, photography and wedding coordinator. He thought of every (and I do mean EVERY) detail and took an enormous amount of stress and worry off of the hosts.
