Waited an hour for our food and never got a refill on drinks and then when we got our food it was super cold.

If you are looking for homemade food, this is your spot. From the eggs to the hash browns, all made by hand and yummy. The biscuits and gravy are just like your grandparents made them. This food will take you back to a time maybe forgotten but definitely not gone. The staff is friendly and helpful, but a bit under staffed so have a bit of patience. The wait is definitely worth it. A special shout out to our waitress Lisa, thank you for the excellent conversation.

Home-cooked meals and excellent down-home service. Made me remember what a real home-cooked breakfast used to taste like. I got a full plate breakfast for under $10, and my coffee stayed fresh and full, with one to go. There was no wait coming or going. Will definitely and enthusiasticly visit again.

What a treat! Excellent meal. The owner is stand up guy, and is incredibly community minded. Who knew this gem was hiding in this plaza all of this time?! I will be a repeat customer.

Not greeted when we arrived - when we inquired about seating with a cashier, she waved us in a general direction back to the door which was crowding up. We waited possibly 10 mins and a waitress came over and without asking began seating people who came in after us from the gathering crowd, although we had already been in line and waited several minutes. When we chimed in, we were basically told to find a booth. We sat there 10-15 mins without menus. Someone finally arrived and wanted our order but we had no menus- she took our drink orders and brought the menus. From there it was a constant struggle to not only get our order in, but everything else was a struggle. She brought 3 drinks and forgot the 4th. She brought 3 silverware sets and forgot the 4th. A few minutes after we ordered, she returned with the bad news that there were no fried green tomatoes - this is why I came, and I know stuff happens so I settled on potato salad. 20 mins after we ordered, she walked by and said food was at the window and she would be bringing it out. She then bussed 4-5 tables before bringing two plates of food. One plate didn’t belong to us, so she gave it to another table. At that point, she took an empty glass from us for a refill and never brought it back. She brought out food - but one dish was not made well done as requested, and we requested it to be corrected, it was just a request for well done toast which would be a 5 min fix in the toaster. She still forgot the drink she walked away with and had to be reminded. The toast came about 10 mins later, still barely toasted - she said “they” couldn’t get it any more done. It was a train wreck. The potato salad was good, but not so good that I would ever contemplate returning.

Outstanding food! Absolutely loved my Philly Cheesesteak! It was honestly the best I have ever had! And FRIED GREEN TOMATOES?!!! Just like grandma used to make but even better! Fried okra was delicious! The chef even came to our table to make sure we loved everything. The server was so nice and country and caring. I will be craving this food and looking forward to being back in town to eat here again! I’m so glad I tried it!

Amazing food and very kind staff! The catfish is so good! If I could put 100/5 stars I would!

Edit a few months later: This is our family’s favorite restaurant! The catfish and the burger are excellent. The new milkshakes are also great. We come here about once every month and have always had a great experience. The other reviews that are negative may be bots because they seem so inaccurate. The food always is served fast and hot. The staff is very kind and makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend this place

Unfortunately, can't say anything good so won't say much at all. 3 adult breakfasts. Biscuits & gravy, pancakes, eggs & bacon. Not one item was good.

Just move to the area decided to stop to have breakfast this morning. The eggs had a chemical taste to them. I had to run out and make it home and and been throwing up with diarrhea since this morning. Do not recommend this place at all.

THAT was real, Southern homemade biscuits and gravy. Folks, it was unmistakable from the first bite. A lot of places claim to have great biscuits and gravy, and they're usually "pretty good". This was exceptional. This is what you're hoping for when you order biscuits and gravy.

While the atmosphere is warm and comforting, our recent experience with the restaurant has us not wanting to come back. The first time we went there, everything was fantastic. The second time we went there, it took over an hour to get our drinks and even then our order was never taken. We politely watched the tables around us get taken care of, orders taken and drinks, with the same waitress apologizing each time she walked by. We ended up leaving because we waited over an hour and 20 minutes without having our order taken. The third time, we decided to try dinner instead of breakfast and the mashed potatoes taste as if they were instant potatoes without made milk. The catfish was lovely, I'll leave a compliment because it was cooked perfectly ? ?

I love supporting small businesses, however, after waiting on our food for over an hour for a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, biscuits, and gravy, we still do not have our food. We will not be back.
