I haven't been to this place in forever. We used to order it to go once or twice a month but it's been a while since we called in an order. Tonight everyone else was wanting Papa John's and I wasn't in the mood for it so I decided to order take out from here. Anyway, my go to order is the Pollo Cordoba, add extra white sauce with an order of the 3 Tamales. Food is normally pretty good but tonight it just wasn't. My Tamales had hard, bone like fragments in them. I mean, really sharp. To the point I had to scrape out the filling and just eat the outside part only. Ended up throwing the meat/sauce part away. I was hoping my meal would be better, but I noticed as soon as I opened it that not only was there no extra white sauce but no sauce on it at all. I am assuming I was still charged because the total was close to $27 for just the meal & the Tamales. Also, I usually eat my lettuce & tomatoes like a salad but they were under my chicken instead of on the side like they used to serve it and they were hot & wilted, so that was kind of a let down. Spinach & mushrooms were good, as well as, the rice. The refried beans were, meh. The chips & salsa that was complimentary were pretty good.

Ordered this Texan potato it come out burnt I mean it's suppose to have cheese the cheese was evaporated shrimp was burnt on one side chicken hard burnt on one side beef idk I didn't see any but could of been there could of been a burnt chunk the tomato on it was chard . I told them about it 3 times they were nice about it took 5 bucks off of bill ...this is one dish I won't order ever agian but the other food family got they enjoyed it .

First time in Knoxville came out to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Wanted to try this restaurant because we love authentic Mexican restaurants and had the worst experience. The greeting was very very dry, we were seated and the waitress did not have a personality at all the service was very dry. We received our food both of my sisters asked for no guacamole and guacamole on the plate and one sister had no meat in her quesadilla and had to send it back. We tried the food. The food had no flavor. My meal had beef tips, and the beef tips tasted like something a dog would eat and also looks like something. A dog would eat. We sent our food back and said that we didn’t care for it and still was charged for the meal And also question why we did not like it, and was told that they were serving people for a certain amount of years and did not understand why we all did not like it and continue to be questioned until we left. We will never go back it was the first experience that we’ve ever experienced. We also had to go across the street to Wingstop to re-order food. Never again

Good food and decent service. Server didn’t check in on me once throughout the meal which some might like. I had the chicken chimichanga which was good but Knoxville just doesn’t like things spicy it seems. Beans and rice were tasty and it was all reasonably priced. I’d come back here!
