Aubrey's Strawberry Plains

Having had enjoyable meals at this Aubreys before, we were disappointed tonight. Salads were great... crisp, cold, and fresh. However the salmon on the caesar was dry and overcooked as though it had been left under heat lamps too long rather than being freshly grilled. The tomato bisque was only luke warm and bland...no croutons, cheese or fresh basil as I would have expected from a restaurant of this caliber. Campbell's would have been as good and cheaper. And our server had 2 words in her vocabulary...absolutely and beautiful. Very canned rather than the personal touch this brand is known for.

4 of us went. We had Mississippi Catfish, cranberry chicken salad, Alaskan Pollock, soup/club combo, tomato bisque, praline cheesecake, key lime pie, pumpkin cheesecake and apple walnut cobbler. All of the food was great and so was the service and atmosphere.

This was our first experience at Aubrey’s and it did not disappoint. Our server was efficient, professional and friendly. When I could not decide whether to order a particular side dish she offered to get me a sample. She also brought more water without our needing to ask. I had lemon-lime Chicken entree and it was excellent. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly with a nice citrus flavor. It was served with a rice blend that complemented the chicken well. My date had the patty melt. While it was good, it didn’t compare to a traditional patty melt. It was a burger with bacon, Swiss and onions, served with two pieces of Texas toast.

Oh yes, on my long and weary travels through this town for my work needs, I stopped in to grab a quick meal. The meal was quick! And very succulent, the waitress was beyond kind and the service was top notch. When I venture through this town again I most assuredly must stop here for a good meal to ease the travels!

Friendly service. Indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) seating. Bar available. I had the caesar salad with chicken and their soup of the moment which was broccoli cheddar. My husband had the cajun chicken sandwich with the broccoli cheddar soup. Both of our meals tasted good.

Delicious food all around. There are a lot of comfort food choices, not your typical menu. Large restaurant with plenty of seating, but it has a welcoming, hometown appeal.

We loved are experience at Aubrey’s. Our server liv was AMAZING. We pulled into the parking lot at 7:20 and we were out by 8:10. The service was amazing. We got our food fast and it was piping hot. Our food was perfectly cooked. We recommend the salmon tacos, haystack pasta, and homemade soup. Thick cut of potato chips with ranch were so yummy. Truly out of this world. Patty melt is a little plain but otherwise great visit. Would DEFINITELY recommend.

Excellent food, service, beer, prices. We stopped there for lunch a few days ago on our way through town and were so satisfied with everything. The menu is varied so my husband and I were both happy with our choices!

My husband grabbed takeout for dinner. The service was friendly and the food was really good. He got the patty melt w/thick cut chips and I got the rooster grill w/fries, we also got a salad w/raspberry vinaigrette…it was all really good and they cooked his burger perfectly. I’m sad we’re on a roadtrip and our first visit is likely our last…I would absolutely be back otherwise.

Every time I’ve been to this restaurant it has been a very good experience! The food, service and atmosphere are all very good!

Not bad. Also, the only choice if you’re staying in one of the nearby hotels and don’t want to eat in a chain restaurant or drive for some time.
