Having had enjoyable meals at this Aubreys before, we were disappointed tonight. Salads were great... crisp, cold, and fresh. However the salmon on the caesar was dry and overcooked as though it had been left under heat lamps too long rather than being freshly grilled. The tomato bisque was only luke warm and bland...no croutons, cheese or fresh basil as I would have expected from a restaurant of this caliber. Campbell's would have been as good and cheaper. 4 of us went. We had Mississippi Catfish, cranberry chicken salad, Alaskan Pollock, soup/club combo, tomato bisque, praline cheesecake, key lime pie, pumpkin cheesecake and apple walnut cobbler. All of the food was great and so was the service and atmosphere.
This was our first experience at Aubrey’s and it did not disappoint. Our server was efficient, professional and friendly. When I could not decide whether to order a particular side dish she offered to get me a sample. She also brought more water without our needing to ask.\n\nI had lemon-lime Chicken entree and it was excellent. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly with a nice citrus flavor.
