Oh my lort... this place is soooo good!!! We had a variety of items off the menu. Buffalo chicken philly, 2 steak phillys, and the big orange burger! So much flavor! Very quick and great service. Charlene was our waitress and she was such a doll! Places like this are successful because of people like her! We will absolutely be back!
Delicious food served by friendly and accurate staff. They offer a wide variety of food and beverages, including a full bar. Pool and darts are available. The pool tables and sticks are in great shape which is a rare find at a sports bar. Nice place for sure.
The food was way over priced for what we got...and when we walked in we were not even greeted. We sat ourselves there was a poker tournament going on and when we opened the door they all looked at us as if we were interrupting their game. We had heard good things about this place and yet we were highly
Enjoyable environment (Thursday Nite has Bingo Singo) and tasty food! I got the Buffalo Chicken Philly with fries and was delicious. Beer bucket is average price which can’t argue with. I definitely will go back.
WOW... Been looking for a good Philly place and we have found it. They give a very generous portion of Philly meat along with onion, red/green peppers, mushroom and mayo. We did not get the lettuce and tomatoes. I got tater tots and my husband got fries. The service was quick and friendly. The had cold beer and sweet sprite. The price was super as well. Thumbs up to everything!!
If there were ANY way to level zero stars I would. My husband had seen the great tv ads on this place and talked for a couple weeks about wanting to try it. I looked at the reviews and thought ok. Obviously the people who reviewed it either were friends and family or only came to drink. Let me make this clear this is a bar. Let me start with the only positive on our visit. They had $2 draft and although I no longer drink my husband had two and said they were good. Now the food - He ordered a build your own sub with ham and cheese and a side of tater tots. It was horrible. The tots tasted as if they had been sitting for hours. Not only that the charge for his selection $10-sub add $2.99 ham add 1.00 for cheese and add tots, totaling like over $16 for a sandwich. Now mine, I ordered a app comb cauliflower, cheese sticks and potato skins with a side of cooking grease in the bottom of the basket. The skin had almost raw bacon, the cauliflower (pic attached) was burnt to a crisp. The cheese sticks were acceptable. Cost of this entre like $12+ I think. My husband does not eat lunch so he normally cleans his plate at dinner. I consumed 1 cheese stick, 1/2 skin, 1 piece of cauliflower that I dug out that was less burnt. So we walked out with $43 dinner (including tip) and left 3/4 of the food on the table. Also, when you walk in you get an overwhelming smell of old/ burnt/ rancid cooking oil. The waitress was generally kind but I would think leaving that kind of food uneaten she would have asked if it was ok or if something was wrong. No. She took our money and walked off. No thank you. They have a really good media presence, great commercial of which the monies spent there needs to be redirected to food prep/ training of staff. We eat out a lot ... from Pal's to Ruth Chris and love trying new places but I can honestly say this was the WORST MEAL we have ever had and not worth the money at all.
I ordered the MawMaw's Smothered Grilled Chicken for $10.99 (grilled chicken smothered with melted cheese, onions, mushrooms... Found out that they had changed the menu and did not make it anymore. However, the waitress said she would ask for it and charge the same price. The menu from 4 months is not good anymore so I'm posting the new one.The grilled chicken was tasteless. The only thing that had any taste were the onions. The toast was dry as they did not put anything on them. And I thought they came with fries but no. So I ordered them. They were not bad but they were falling apart. It's a sports bar and they were playing Tennessee football. Not coming back here. When she brought the bill she charged $10 for the chicken, .50c for the cheese and $2.00 for the fries. Total was $16.92.Definitely not coming back.
Good local spot in the Halls area! They were actually closed when we arrived however the owner was more than happy to help me and my cousin out which we definitely appreciated ? We played some billiards ? and got a couple of drinks ? We also got some potato skins which was pretty tasty! We weren't expecting such hospitality especially when it was Labor Day and we spent more than a couple of hours there haha! The prices for billiards were good and the prices on the draft beer were good too(happy hour helps ?)The establishment was very clean and organized and a good amount of tables for billiards and they have have a few dart machines. Overall a great experience.Definitely will be coming back again!
Great addition to the Halls community. I enjoyed my experience. The food was really good and greasy portions. I wanted to try the Philly but saw there was a burger deal on Friday that I couldn't pass up. Really good deal. I plan on going back and trying the Philly soon.
The service is very slow. The food sucks. The prices are very high. It was my first time there and also the last. (FYI: one of my pictures below is my Philly steak sandwich with fries that costs $16)

They need some serious help in the food department I have tried several things from hoagie sandwiches to hot dogs the sandwich is warm at best and the hot dogs are burnt onion rings are so greasy you can’t eat them but on a good note the chicken in a sack is pretty good when they have them which is not very often will not eat there anymore
Had really high expectations about this place. Walked in and couldn't hear anything over the live music, music wasn't bad but was way to loud(my wife even asked if they could turn it down but nothing changed). As for the food we didn't wait for it as we waited 40 minutes after ordering it and hadn't even received our deep fried pickles. Also frustrating to see a couple come in about 20 minutes after us and have their food within 15 minutes. Staff was so inattentive it just added to our frustration. Ended up leaving a $5 bill on the table for my daughter's sprite as we couldn't wait anymore as we were starving and had headaches from the blasting music. Unfortunately won't be going back to this place. Also crazy because we were surprised to see it not that busy for a Friday night considering how busy it used to be when I'd drive by especially on a Friday night.
My husband and I had heard that this place was good..So tonight we ordered carry out. My chicken in sac had good flavor but pita was soggy. My husband's burger was suppose to be well done it was still pink inside , and his bun was soggy both order of fries were grease buddies and tasted stale. We could have gotten a better burger and fries at Food City
Extensive menu and the food choices were nicer then you would expect in a bar. They had a separate room with dart boards and some serious players were coming in for a tournament that night.Lots of TV's showing every imaginable sporting event, friendly staff and the owner was very much available to the diners.Saturday night is karaoke and Thursday nights are live band.Generous portions especially for the sides, like we had okra and onion rings.
I am giving this 4 stars with a caveat to not be in a hurry when you go here. At the moment, they are a victim of their amazing food and the cooks cannot keep up, which in turn makes the service very slow. I'd really love to see this place be successful because the food is great and we need something like this in Halls. We went for the first time on Thursday at lunch and enjoyed the wings, appetizer sampler with fried cauliflower, fried okra and onion rings. All great and large portions. They were not busy but the service was a little slow. I had the Philly and it was very good. Plenty of meat, veggies and great flavor. My fiance had the wings tossed in BBQ sauce and he loved them. We had enough leftovers for Friday Night Drinks.Saturday night, we went with the family and it was extremely busy. We were there almost 3 hours, two of which was waiting on appetizers and then food. Our server kept apologizing for the delays and we hung in there with her.To the owner.....keep working on improving service, your menu is awesome and the food is great!! I know good cooks are hard to find and maybe a kitchen manager to help keep them focused.
