We ordered for delivery. Phenomenal bbq! The smoked macaroni is fantastic! Portion size is on point. The hot sauce is not too hot but has alot of flavor.

Stopped here during a weekend visit to Knoxville. Hungry for BBQ and Billie Rae’s hit the spot! Brisket was on point, ribs tender and juicy, and smoked chicken wings were amazing! Accompanied by mac&cheese, coleslaw, and green beans, all cooked perfectly. Service was friendly and timely. Definitely going back.

AMAZING!!! My boyfriend and I are visiting from Orlando Florida and seen this place that had great reviews so we decided to give it a try. Thank goodness we did! We both got the brisket and it was so flavorful and tender. The coleslaw was the best we have ever had along with the mac n cheese. We grabbed some of their biscoff banana pudding on the way out and it was delicious. If you are near the area I recommend this place 10000%!!!

Turkey ribs and the pork ribs are phenomenal. The baked beans, Mac and cheese and the fried cabbage are must haves!

Ordered lunch on a whim via Grubhub and was so blown away that my wife and I ordered again for dinner the next night. Everything we had was extraordinary, and there was an elevated depth of flavor that I've rarely experienced from other Knoxville restaurants. Highly recommended.

Definitely a hidden gem. Great food and nice people. I also love the daily bible verse on the wall. What more can you ask for?

Driving through on the way to Fort Benning, the food is so good I need to consider moving. We had the brisket and the rib dinner, the food is beyond words. Wow 🤯!! Thank you for the awesome dinner.

Overall the food is good. Great Customer Service by the Cashier/Co-Owner. I would give the cabbage a 5-star, except it was just a tad bit salty. The greens was great. The sweet potatoes needs some work, needs moisture & was a little hard. Everything else was Great!

It’s difficult to sit here and write just how wonderful this restaurant is because I’m so full! This was our first time taking out from Billy Rae’s barbecue and soul food, and it will most definitely not be our last time! After perusing the menu I had decided on getting some of the pork ribs and a chili dog with brisket and coleslaw. Much to my dismay they were out of hotdogs! So as I stood there, trying to figure out what my rebound meal would be it was suggested to me by Mrs. Chandler (the owner) that I try their turkey ribs with gravy. Turkey ribs? You might be asking yourself what is this? I most certainly was… But I was also informed that they would change my life. And I am sitting here full and bloated and happy having had my life changed today. I do not like turkey! I will be going back specifically for turkey ribs!! I also got some pork ribs, which were fire! Perfectly smoked! And I do not love smoked flavor yet these were absolutely delicious. Not too much smoke and the perfect cook! Donna got their winglets and smoked mac & cheese and baked beans. The barbecue sauce that was supplied with the meals was also outstanding. Two different kinds both highly recommended. I can’t praise the food enough! I also can’t move because I’m so full!
So I think it’s fair to say that if you don’t go try out, Billy Rae’s barbecue and soul food you’re just a moron! Try not to be a moron!

I'm so glad this isn't close to home. Every time we go we find new delicious foods to enjoy there. Last time we went on a Sunday and I got the grilled chicken with dressing and gravy. It was heavenly. Every time we get baked beans. Theirs are the best I've ever had. Ɓeans and meat and sauce and other ingredients. Perfection. The pulled pork and the ribs are delicious too. Oh and the greens are fantastic. Cornbread yum. Just go treat yourself.

The brisket sandwich and turkey ribs were delicious!

This was the best barbecue I've had in ages! We were looking for a late lunch on our way to Asheville and I was craving barbeque. We searched Google and found this place right off I-40. Now I am jealous of anyone living in the Knoxville area that can eat here anytime they like. We ordered a half rack of ribs and, let me tell you, their house-made barbecue sauce is something special. We would have bought a couple bottles of it if they had any for sale. And don't get me started on the coleslaw. I am a coleslaw snob and they had the best I have ever eaten in my life. I even ended up ordering an extra side to go. And the service was absolutely fantastic! Our only disappointment was that they didn't have any collard greens on the day we stopped. We would have loved to have tried those. If I could give this place more stars, I would! Thank you for the awesome meal and, if we are ever driving through Knoxville again, we will definitely make it a point to stop by and try some of the other menu offerings! Sorry I don't have any photos to post, but we tore through the food and didn't even think about it until after we were finished. 😆

All I can say is OH MY GOD this food is smack your moma good! Baked beans Chicken and dressing with the gravy!! Mac and cheese all this was A+. We will be back for sure!
