Excellent choice of burgers and good beer selections. Convenient location and good atmosphere. Unfortunately, I learned that it closed on 1/9/2023.

I guess the brewery part must be great, the food was not. While we were waiting, we saw that a table left most of their pizza, rather than carry out the leftovers. Ok, it's downtown and you might not want to carry a box to your car before hitting the next stop. However, the pizza was terrible--whatever cheese they used made it a gluey tasteless mess. The burger was ok but not at the price they wanted for it. There are too many other good options downtown to waste your time here, unless maybe you're mainly drinking.

Great bar and pub. Didn't try any food but it looked good. Beer selection is great. The vanilla cream ale is really good day beer, If they have Octoberfest try it, you won't be disappointed!

Stopped in for chicken fingers (really good) and a skillet cookie with ice cream (Cookie was a bit under-baked). Our Server Ariana was very good- friendly, and attentive. Not sure about the craft beers but saw several samplers on tables. Nice vibe, comfortable booths with old tall windows.

My mom and I came here for dinner on one of our two nights in Knoxville. Our food was good, and the Halloween themed drinks were amazing. I also loved the “bad apple” hard cider. We would come back here if we returned to Knoxville.

Lively atmosphere right in the heart of downtown Knoxville. Good food and outstanding service. The place is big (two floors). We had to wait less than 10 minutes on a very busy night on Gay Street. Plenty of TV's to watch your favorite collegiate or NFL football during the season. With all the places to eat around town as far as bars and taverns go , I would give this a place a two thumbs up!!

Extremely friendly staff, from the host to our server. Went for brunch and had their brunch burger with fried green tomato and bacon. The burger was cooked to perfection to the med rare I ordered.

Rude host stand, bartender, servers…. Can’t possibly recommend this place. Beer decent but service was ridiculous. Limited stars for sure

Olivia did a fabulous job of waiting on us tonight. She was efficient and friendly. Hawaiian pizza was really good, as was the appetizer of pretzels and beer cheese. Friends had flatbread Italian

Enjoyed an excellent burger and several well-crafted ales. The ambience is also quite pleasant, only enhanced by the serving staff. However, did notice some inappropriate interactions between staff that invited some questions of workplace relationship policy and break-time/closing activities. Clearly an incestuous industry, makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the facility.

We decided to have lunch downtown Knoxville and decided to try the Blackhorse out. We are glad that we did. The service at the bar and the food were very good. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a stop in. Enjoy!

The pizza was good, but not for the price. $20 for a 12" is an absurd price:size ratio. I really enjoyed the pizza, no joke it was delicious. The food and drinks were expensive for the portions. The pimento cheese came with more cheese then bread chips, so you have to order more. And without missing a beat the waitress told me it would be a $2 charge. Which suggests that other people have had this issue too, since she didn't need to ask a someone about supplementing an appetizer with more bread. Suggesting that management had decided that the smaller portion would be alright since customers would just pay for the extra bread so they didn't waste the pimento cheese (which was also delicious). That feels like a scam to me and the portions, not the quality is driving this review to 3/5 instead of 5/5. The drinks were so-so for the price.Edit: thank you for the response.

Stopped here on our way through Tennessee. The brewery is located on a cute little street with lots of shops around. The food was very good (I recommend the brussel sprout appetizer!) and the beers were tasty, just not very unique. Overall I think it's worth stopping in if you're in the area.
