My favorite upscale dive bar. Hosts awesome live music, from death metal to punk to EDM. Friendly, chill staff. Decent amount of seating. Upper tier bar food. Large patio. My favorite place to hang in Knoxville.

Don’t pass up on this absolute Knoxville institution. From the crazy amount of band and brewery insignia to the book cases of vinyl, it takes a minute to fully appreciate the fantastic decor. He was arrogant and rude snd outside in the courtvard it had the derelict apoearance of a place that has been long forgotten. I suspect the place will ho under soon. A small group of my friends and i came here last week for the first time to see a show and enjoy the atmosphere, we ordered some food and the service was fairly good, until it wasn't. When we closed our check we tipped both the bartenders who served us 30% and went about our night out in the patio. Literally not even 20 minutes later out of no where the male bartender with the beard hostilely comes up to our table and tells us all to "get out of here"and it's like everything around us stops and everyone starts to look at us. It was super embarrassing and we were all confused as to why we were getting kicked out. He then accused us all of having fake ID's and there was no way of convincing him otherwise as he just kept yelling over us every time we tried telling him he was wrong, and we all even tried handing our id's over for him to check and verify that it's real but he just kept telling us to "get the f out". My friends and i are 20-28, none of us ordered drinks and you have to be 18+ to enter, so there's no reason why this should have happened. So we eventually left with no fight because we didn't want to be there anymore anyways, and funny enough we started talking to a group of people outside who are regulars and they said that that same bartender has a record of just kicking people out almost every night for no reason. Lol what a douce bag. I seriously would not waste your time and money at this dump

MORE HOUSE MUSIC PLEASE!!!! I totally respect the metal heads! But please feature more house music! I absolutely LOVE hearing the rhythm and beats that I can’t hear anywhere else! (Rip Sassy Ann’s!) love this bar. Support it full heartedly! But I’d love to hear more house music. Thank you for being a staple in this city!

Brickyard is supposed to open at 12. We came at 1 pm for brunch and waited inside for 5 minutes before being acknowledged. Once the worker finally came back inside, he said they weren’t open even though the doors were unlocked and both the website and google stated they were open. Will not be coming back.
