Title: A Lovely Little Gem for Pie EnthusiastsI stumbled upon The Skypie Shop during a day-out in downtown Knoxville with my family -and what a delightful find it was! This quaint establishment, run by a very friendly and passionate owner, offers a charming slice of heaven to anyone with a sweet tooth or an appreciation for artisanal baking. The shop itself is quite small, but the size belies the big flavors packed into each carefully crafted 1 serving pie. The variety of flavors caters to both traditionalists and the more adventurous palates, and every pie I've tried has had that wonderful homemade quality that is hard to come by these days. What really makes The Skypie Shop stand out is the attention to detail in each pie. The crusts are flaky and buttery, the fillings are rich and generous, and the balance of flavors is just right. It's clear that the owner puts a lot of love and care into each creation. The only thing that keeps me from giving The Skypie Shop a full five stars is a small wish that they would expand their offerings to include fresh baked bread. I can only imagine how delightful it would be to pair one of their savory pies with a slice of warm, homemade bread. It would certainly take their already cozy and inviting atmosphere to the next level. In conclusion, if you find yourself in Knoxville and in the mood for a sweet treat, The Skypie Shop is a spot you shouldn't miss. It's a charming place with a lot to love, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Four enthusiastic stars!

Visited this location today to pick up my order. Waited in a long like to only find out that my order was not their due to an incorrectly entered pick up date. I had no issue with that, my only problem lied in the fact that the manager would not issue me a refund while I was there at the cash register . He said that I had to wait until everyone inline had been waited on before he would do a refund. I questioned why he would not do it then while I was at the register, given the fact that I had waited in a line of around 15 deep, just like every other customer before me. When asked whom his supervisor was he informed me that he was the owner. I have never been treated so rudely from a business owner. He was rude in both action and in the verbiage he delivered. Their website states, "we are in the business of making people happy and helping others." . Do not expect this level of service from this business owner. If you need a pie go to the original location on Kingston Pike, as I have never been treated like this from their associates or business owners.

I truly wish I could rate these lovely ladies higher. I had a death in the family so stopped to get some pies for the luncheon. I didn't tell them what was going on, they could see it was something. They offered such compassion and kindness that it truly touch my heart. These ladies are amazing, thank you ladies.

Stopped here driving through and got 4 inch mini pies. The southern custard, turtle, and granny’s applied pie. All were delicious and prices are very reasonable

We visited Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop while visiting my daughter in Knoxville. My other daughter and her family joined us on the trip. We chose the I 40 pie because Interstate 40 got us most of the way from Tulsa to Knoxville. It's a pecan pie with chocolate chips and coconut. The description said it was named when they were stuck in traffic on I 40. Wonder if the pie shop are a whole chocolate coconut pecan pie while stuck in traffic. Its just slightly sweeter than I prefer, but my 7 grandchildren it their parents prefer it as is. My favorite part is the crust, which is shortbread. I felt clever tasting and analyzing it. One of my granddaughters declared that it's most butter and flour. I tasted it and said that it tastes like shortbread. Then I read the description in the online menu and it is shortbread. Yum. Can't wait for my next visit. I will have to get another gluten free I 40 pie, but next time I'm going to get some mini pies so we can try all their flavors. Why bake when Buttermilk Sky does it for you....and they do such a good job.

The four inch pies are just right. Apple, coconut cream, I-40, and specialty pies. Love the pumpkin for the holidays and cherry for Valentine's.

Wow, wow, wow, wow(you may see a 4 theme) Where to start, first if you ever have a hard time deciding on ehatbto order they have options! You can get mini pies, so you can try more flavors!! For our anniversary on 4/4 I went to order my husband a pie, and to my surprise I saw I could order 4 pies for $19!!! Yes please, this was quite a treat and really these pies are so sweet that a little pie and a couple bites are perfect!! I'd also recommend grabbing some thumbprint cookies too! The shortbread on the cookies and the pies is absolutely amazing!! For pies we tried i-40, banana cream, lemon box, and buttermilk. I'll rank top in order of favs with a short review of each 1. I-40 is hands down the fav! It is a little of everything, count, chocolate chips, a pecan pie mixture. It is sweet but so unique and full of all the flavors!!2. Banana cream - this is like banana pudding in a shortbread crust. 3. Buttermilk - this is probably the smoothest and actually less sweet of all 4. I know with buttermilk and chess pies they are super sweet, this is good and simple.4. Lemon box - whoa sugar, good, but my least favorite as over the top sweet! I can't wait to go back and maybe order another 4 pack!!

Absolutely the best ever ! Love the Granny Smith apple pie and the coconut... seriously I've never eaten any of their pies that were not just over the moon. The key lime and lemon ice box are truly amazing as well .

Tasted so far:Key Lime Pie - Needs to be much stronger in flavor. It isn't bad it could just be so much better.I-40 Pie - Growing up, I used to make something called Magic Cookie Bars with my mom. This was almost that. Add some coconut and some condensed milk and you'd have heaven. Even missing those 2 things, it was still very nice.Pecan Pie - This was pretty good. I'd do this one again.Apple Pie - Also not too bad. I'd go for this one again as well!

Love their little pies! We had several of these in TX and I was so happy to find one in TN. Makes me feel a little more at home. Everyone is so friendly at this place also.
