Visiting from New York and landed here on a recommendation. Best choice for sure. Wings for an appetizer and fried pickles. Both were cooked perfect and delicious. Our waitress was Amazing and the manager came over to say hello and see how everything was.
Was just overall awful. Food took 40 min to come out and then the food was just warm. Manager made excuses, did get free dessert to go

Dropped in for lunch after touring UT campus with my daughter. Food was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and fantastic location on the river. Hope my daughter chooses to be a Vols so I can visit again. Annaka our server was awesome and attentive.

I've been living in knoxville for about a year now and was told by many folks that calhouns was an amazing restaurant. So I made reservations for my wife's birthday. Unfortunately, my visit there was very inadequate if I say so myself. The waitress did an alright job. But the food was very sub-par. First, I ordered the trio, which comes with chicken, pork, and ribs and a side(broccoli). They forgot the chicken. The other 2 meats were either room temperature or colder, and the broccoli wasn't cooked at all(raw). My wife's meal(half rack of ribs) was also room temperature. They came back with new plates and no apologies. If I can tell anyone new to the area weather or not to go to calhouns, I would say stay far away from this place. Soo many superior restaurants at Market Square downtown.Parking: Parking is horrendous.

I honestly had a horrible experience at this restaurant. I had high hopes and was told by friends that this was a great place to be. The food came out cold and bland. The BBQ ribs were supposedly "award winning" however I thought the fast food BBQ from Buddy's was significantly better. We did not even get an apology for our food being cold and the long wait to get another round of warmed up food. Calhouns is not worth the price and if you have decent taste, I would take your money elsewhere.

Cole the general manager was extremely nice as well as our waiter Jacole who took very good care of me and my mom. The servers were well presented when it came to uniforms. The food was just as amazing as the view. They really go above and beyond to take care of you.
