This place claims to be the "catfish kitchen" on uber eats and similar apps presenting itself as a more upscale restaurant, but it's the same lousy food.It wasn't ready when we got there and even then half of our stuff was missing.Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful.

Pretty sure the cashier stole my credit card information. Came here and ordered and waited 15 minutes for food that wasn’t even fresh. I used my credit card that I barely use and a few hours later I get notifications about$ 500 dollars in charges from DoorDash, TikTok and Walmart. I immediately disputed with my credit card company and called captain ds to talk with a manager and they weren’t helpful at all. The food is definitely mediocre and way too high now. But playing with peoples card information and the lack of concern from management is highly concerning. I will not be visiting again.

I’m actually a Grubhub driver an while I was waiting for the order the woman that works in the kitchen isn’t wearing gloves an also scratching her head while being over the food and also didn’t wash hands an she continued to touch the food with nasty hands. None of the employees wear hair nets or anything. This place is

I was very disappointed in this restaurant. My husband and I visited on Sunday, Dec 31 for lunch. We stood at the counter for several minutes while the employee handed food out the drive thru window, and then bagged up an order for a customer sitting and waiting on the bench. Finally she acknowledged us and said "I can get you down here." We moved down to that register, and placed our order for 2 of the $5.99 fish and fries. There was no ice in the dispenser, so I had to go back to the counter. We waited for about ten minutes, then someone came out of the kitchen and told us that it would be a few minutes, that they were making fresh fish. No big deal, until someone else came out a few minutes later and said sorry for the wait, we're waiting on fish. It took almost 20 minutes to get our food. And then the fish was still pink inside. I told the girl at the counter. She came over to our table, looked at the fish, and said she would have some more cooked for us. While we waited the second time, I watched four different orders be taken inside the store, and several through the drive thru be waited on. By the way, all the inside customers had to go back up to the counter to ask for ice for their drinks, too. The girl who had originally taken our order came by our table and tried to collect the tartar and cocktail sauces. She never asked, just reached out and started picking them up off our table. I had to stop her and say that I still needed those because I was waiting on my food still. She said "oh" and walked away. Finally after waiting 20 more minutes, I go back up to the counter and ask if my order is being redone. The girl there says, "yes, I told them." She realizes that it's been awhile and goes back into the kitchen. I decide to go back to my table and get my receipt. I look at the time, and I've been in the store for 45 minutes. When she comes back out, I place my receipt on the counter and ask for the manager. I tell her that I don't want to wait any longer for food, I'm going somewhere else. I want a refund. She acts like I shouldn't want a refund, and says I should just wait a little longer for them to make my food. I'm firm and tell her how long I've already waited. Finally, she takes my receipt and goes back into the kitchen. No manager ever came out to speak with me. She comes back out and says that she can't give me a refund right now, that the back of my receipt is signed, and that I need to come back tomorrow to talk to Russ. I really had a hard time believing that my cash money couldn't be refunded. The money was literally sitting in the cash drawer. Also, I wasted gas getting on the interstate to drive there, and she wants me to waste gas to come back the next day too. I was so frustrated that after 55 minutes there, I left without my money, and I was still hungry. At this point, even refunding my money will not fix this experience for me. There needs to be different management procedures in place and several employees need to be retrained on customer service. Especially the girl who was so sarcastic in her response to me that she was already aware that I had waited 45 minutes already. She should have never questioned my request for a refund.

Captain D's is about a 30-minute drive from my house. But it is worth the drive. The fish sandwiches are HUGE and very good. The clerk offered butter garlic shrimp, which did not disappoint.
