Chops South is closing down, otherwise I would give them a 2nd chance. The food was so-so and the waitress did not care about taking care of her customers. I figured with them closing down soon that had a lot to do with it.

I was there last Saturday. My date and I arrived early, so it wasn't busy. The hostess was eating her lunch, understandably so. She hopped up, put us in a booth (as requested), and was very friendly and welcoming. The server was professional, polite, and competent. No issues at all with the service, it was good. We both had steaks. She had the Sirloin, I had the ribeye. The steaks were cooked to perfection, just right. They were tender, juicy, and flavorful. Excellent steak! I'll definitely be back.

Stopped in to give them another try. Was seated right away but took server 10mins to greet us and get our drink order. Server was attentive but appeared to be overwelmed, after placing our order we recieved our drinks and salads right away, entree took 45 mins to come out of kitchen, both wife and i ordered the 7oz sirlion with baked potato. Baker was slightly undercooked but edible, my steak on the other hand had so much grissle you needed a chain saw to cut it, needless to say it was completely unedible. Manager was willing to adjust check but instead of comping my meal since i could not eat it she only took 50% off my meal. When server brought check to table I had to send him back to manager for the check to show the correct amount. This makes the 3rd time I have been there, as they say in baseball, strike 3 you are out, will not be back.

This was our first time trying Chops South, and we're sad we didn’t discover it sooner! We had the meatloaf, ribeye, and turkey with dressing, and everything was absolutely delicious—even our drinks. Alec was an amazing server—friendly and very attentive. We can’t say enough good things about our experience and can’t wait to come back!

Since moving to the area about 3 years ago we frequenced this restaurant about 40 times, so it's our regular place. A while back they changed the menu, and it seems like they changed what they're serving and how they're serving it. For example, a large salad with chicken barely has chicken on it, maybe 2 oz, so I have to eat when I get home after spending $17 or whatever it is for the salad. Their fish is now just a minute amount served in small finger sizes, again not enough food for me to not want to eat when we get home; and I'm a fairly lean guy who doesn't require a huge serving. I got the mucho nachos, or whatever it's called, and there was hardly any meat in it. It's just not worth it to go there anymore. We realize that with inflation changes have to be made at many places, but I'd be happy to pay more for a full meal. If things change for the positive, we would be happy to come back because the people are nice and the service is good, but in the meantime we're going to start going to other places. It's a shame to see the restaurant degrade like this.

They just catered our banquet this past week end and it was amazing! Everyone raved about the food. Everything was delicious and Jeff & Brandy were amazing to work with! I can't wait to book them for next year.
