Went last week and the drafts were flat and not cold. Don’t know if something was up with the co2 or if the keg was just super old but it was gross. Went back up to the bar to hopefully get a replacement and was straight up ignored.Also very dirty. If you look up on the wood supports to the ceiling there’s clumps of dust all over.gross place serving gross beers.

The music was pure shit in my opinion. The whole club stood around talking instead of dancing. If they invest in an actual DJ instead of letting people pick music through a digital jukebox ut would be soo much better. My friends and I were trying to put on modern day rap hits but they would PURPOSELY skip our songs every time. For example, Sexyy Red, Drake, etc. . 0/10 honestly.

Cool beans was my favorite place to go until they completely disrespected me. I turned around in the line for 2 second and the bouncer thought I cut line. I tried to explain to him that I didn't cut, but he was not having it When I told him again that I was just trying to help my friend WHO WAS BEING HARASSED IN THE LINE, he proceeded to throw my phone into the bushes. I love Cool Beans but cannot believe the disrespect that I received while trying to enter the bar. I would recommend any other bar but this one as the staff are clearly not trained to respect human beings.

Kicked me out because they claimed I had a fake ID. I was 23 with a legitimate ID and the bouncer at the door had already checked my ID and let me in. It wasn't until I handed my ID to the bartender in exchange for darts that someone came out from the back yelling "Whose ID is this?", I said it was mine and he told me it was fake and I had to leave. I said it was real, that I was of legal drinking age, and even showed him my student ID and debit/credit cards with the same name, I also suggested that he call a police officer to come and verify, he said '"no, you gotta leave now" or that the bouncers could "escort me out". Also I wasn't being drunk or obnoxious, I arrived sober and was on beer #1 when this happened. I was a student from out of state so maybe they just didn't know how to verify an NC ID, but I had never had this issue the numerous other times I went here, just felt like they had something against me and wanted me out of there for any reason they could think-up. This was a decent bar at one point but that experience plus a couple of the bartenders that always seemed to have an attitude have ruined this place. Good cheese fires tho.
Cool place close to the UT campus. Limited parking but an easy walk from the stadium. Great atmosphere with music and pool tables, etc.
