First, it'd been nice had they cleaned the table. I wasn't aware it hadn't been cleaned until I laid my arm on the table, and there was either salt or sugar all over it before we ever received our food. Secondly, we tell the waitress to bring apple butter as our breakfast order came out. She didn't, and when we asked her again, she said, "oh, we charge for that, and I didn't know if you still wanted it or not". We wouldn't have ordered it had we not wanted it. We didn't care that it was $1 for 2 small cups.

The pancakes get smaller with each visit pretty soon we’ll have to pay just to think about them. If at East Town location ask for Joe he’s a pleasure, remembers how you like everything. Five stars for his service.

The food at Cracker Barrel has declined over the years… at my most recent visit, I had to send the mashed potatoes back due to the brown gravy. It tasted like to can from a jar… not good. This was the first time in 7 months my family and I visited a Cracker Barrel; it will probably be another 7 months before we visit again. The quality and taste of food isn’t what it use to be.

I was there on 03/04/25 and it was my birthday and I told my waitress that the mashed potatoes had to much pepper in them that I would like a different side she never returned back to my table till it was time for my check told her it was my birthday and she said well I hope you have a great day thanks for coming in and left the table so I go to check out and I told the person that I was paying what happened and he acted like he didn’t care so I’ll not be back to that location at East town.

It took a long time to receive our food and it was cold even the coffee was cold. I would have never thought my husband would ever not enjoy their pancakes, but they were so
bad he wouldn't eat them. My chicken and dumplings and the mashed potatoes was the worst I've ever had.

The past few months, if not years, has been a steady decline for this location. The food is of course good, and the servers are friendly, however, the wait to get your food is way too long. And heaven forbid you place a to go order, or a delivery service order. You'll be missing half of your items, and what you do get is wrong half of the time. And if you do a food pickup, be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes past your quoted time. Also, if you do "curbside pickup" you may as well bring a pillow and blanket to take a nap in your car while you wait. The past 3 times I've tried to utilize this service, I've waited close to an hour each time, and ended up going inside to discover my order had been sitting on the counter for a while, and the food was cold (and the order was wrong, so I had to wait additional time for it to be redone). I love me some CB, but this location is just not worth going to.

I ordered online - curbside pickup for a friend. The order took longer than 45 minutes when the quoted time was 24. Stuff happens. I do feel like they could have thrown in a biscuit or piece of corn bread as a “sorry” for me waiting in the curbside pickup spot for 30 minutes.

Our waitress was phenomenal. Loved her spirit. She made up for the horrible experience we had with trying to order food. Went in craving a hamburger steak, no longer serve it. Then wanted biscuits, came out hard and crumbly. She went in the kitchen and got us fresh( we waited) only to let us know the new corporate has them making biscuits the night before and then using them the next day. THATS NOT FRESH! The taste of the food is even different. Really thinking about skipping on this convient sit down family restaurant and drive 20 minutes to find another sit down family restaurant. Again high marks and a pay raise to our 16 year old waitress busting her butt and making sure her customers have all they need.

I had the Chicken and dumplings... Heavy emphasis on dumplings. There was only 3 cubes of chicken in the whole bowl. My sides have shrunk... Much smaller bowls. They have also removed the peg game and the menu has changed significantly. I made it a point to go on Saturday for the pork chops... No more... They are only available on Tuesdays now. Such a disappointment.

We asked for biscuits before the meal, the waitress forgot about it. We were given utensils that only included a fork and spoon. After serving the meal, by the time the waitress checked on us we had almost finished our meal by using a spoon and fork to cut our meat. Our waitress was nowhere in sight other than the above mentioned, otherwise we would have asked for a knife. It was disappointing to see other wait staff being very attentive to their customers.
