I have never had a bad experience with any cracker barrel but sadly tonight I have to say that the food was awful. Over cooked, dried out and flavorless.
Ordered for pick up the fried chicken. Chicken fried chicken and green beans, mashed potatoes, dumplings and Mac n cheese with bacon. Biscuits and side of gravy. Everything was cold, potatoes starchy and stiff no flavor on anything the green beans plain and bland and the dumplings just a cold hard pile of wet flavorless dough and the chicken was just soggy and dry. My husband and I could barely eat any of it and our son didn't want it either. New cooks? Idk was not worth $45

If you think that you are going to Have a quiet time and enjoy your meal, You are Wrong!!
Unwanted Music is too loud and Nobody knows how to turn it down!
Asked for a Toothpick when checking out and they no longer offer them!
Just not like it used to be!

We visited this location after the Vols Basketball game last Saturday night, hoping for a good, hot meal to celebrate the victory. The restaurant was not very busy, and it was only a little after 7 when we arrived. We should've suspected something from the start as we overheard our server apologizing to a couple of surrounding tables for their wait on their food. Our server was nice and kept us informed the whole time. Being a previous server, I could tell there was some frustration with the kitchen, but she remained upbeat. Our food took over 45 minutes after we ordered it to finally arrive. Our children were getting tired by that point, but thankfully, they ate their food. Our food was good, not as high of a quality as usual but not enough to send back. The green beans were full of black pepper, which overwhelmed the taste. Our server was very attentive and gave us a free dessert for the inconvenience. I'm not sure if the kitchen was short-handed or why they were struggling. But I hope they've been able to pull it together since then.

Friday Feb 28 at 7pm. Service was extremely slow. We finally got our meal but still had not received our silverware. I noticed this also happened at some of the neighboring tables. We were given a basket of biscuits but no butter, jelly, or spread.

The fireplace was going and cozy. The food was good, as usual (breakfast). After our order was taken, a large group (bus) arrived. It was early morning. The minimal staff did their best to keep up, but we waited for coffee refills and our check. This is understandable and will not keep us away from Cracker Barrel Restaurants in the future.

2nd time in a couple of weeks here. Wait times for food are way too long. 40 minutes after ordering is ridiculous. Not that busy and seems to be plenty of staff. Has to point to poor leadership and management. Do yourself a favor and go to Millertown Pike location instead.

01/28/25- tried to give them another chance after assurance they would not mess up again. Left an item off the order again.

The reason for the one star.
We did not get to eat in here. We went here. There was about an hour 45 minutes left till they closed the first lady we talked to. She went to get the lady to seat us she was off and gone somewhere. We'll finally come about 5 minutes later. The girl comes, and she rolls her eyes and says we are about to close in an hour and 45 minutes." I said i know and that we're not going to order big meals she's then rolled here eyes again goes back to the back comes back out after about 10 minutes and says we're out of all food we just ran out. there were only a couple of people inside eating at the time. So we turned and left as we were leaving the parking lot at the back of the store. There were all the employees just hanging out and talking and having a good time. Playing with the snow having snow ball fights. This is the only Cracker Barrel we have ever experienced a bad encounter at. We have gone into a Cracker Barrel's 30 minutes before they closed, and they are more than happy to seat you.

Wouldn't go here bet it's always like this.
If you have employees like that working for you.

Ordered a dinner plate of turkey and dressing. So disappointed. It was enough for a 5 year old not an adult. Never before have I been disappointed in the size of the portion. I asked the waitress if the was the dinner size and she said yep with 2 sides, and walked away. 30.00 for 2 people to eat a kids meal?

The music was horrible. Oldddddd Johnny Cash tunes. Corporate needs to extremely update the music. That is my reason for 2 stars on atmosphere.

Vegetarian options: Slaw, okra, dumplins & carrots are my favorites. Sometimes dumplins are a little thick therefore not cooked all the way thru.

Okay my mom and I come to a Cracker Barrel every Friday to get the fish and chips.
And aside of coleslaw. This is another one of those places where it depends on which 1 you go to, if we go to the 1 on 640, they have great pieces of fish, large bowls of coleslaw. We have been to 5 others, and they were not so great. The photos are from the not so great. Ones, and I'm not gonna name them. Because I don't think it's fair. It could all depend on the cook that day. The fish dish in these photos aw completely dried. They overcook them. It all depends on the cook that day.

They were slow on getting our food out to us and then it was cold. The chicken tenders were small and barely breaded.
Our waitress was very sweet and polite through.
