Haven’t ate here yet, but I did do pickup as a doordasher. When I got there, there was another doordasher in front of me waiting. After fifteen minutes had gone by, the first doordasher became frustrated and dropped her order and left.
Two teenagers were up front along with a manager, who appeared to be a young adult, giggling and laughing obnoxiously and talking about inappropriate things openly.
I usually try to be understanding as I was once a teenager working in the food industry, but when I asked about the order, the manager told me only one guy was in the kitchen and it would be up soon. Even later, the manager came back and told me they were out of what my customer ordered, and if they make something else for her, I’d have to wait even longer.
I dropped the order and lost money. I waited for 25 minutes. This place lacks management and organization. Dashers need to make money too. Do your job and do better.
If dashers are treated this poorly, imagine the food service.

Our waitress was awful. She needs restraining really fast!! The manager was really nice. They do need to rework the restaurant seating because of the open kitchen area it gets super hot all over !

Portion sizes smaller and prices much higher than a year ago. There are now better alternatives than Cracker Barrel. They better get their act together if they don't want to go the way Bonanza, Ponderosa, etc.

If you want good country cooking, this is the place to eat. They offer a wide variety of menu options, including breakfast anytime and made to order. They also have a great dessert menu. Staff are always friendly. And you can shop before or after you eat with many sweets, toys, clothing, etc. options.

This place is unorganized and lacks management. There was no host at the stand when we arrived. The girl at the store register asked if we’re waiting to be seated. We’re standing at the host stand… OF COURSE we’re waiting to be seated.

Then we were taken to a table, it smelled like urine in the area. I finally figured out why, see picture attached.

Then our waiter wasn’t sure he was supposed to be our waiter so he decided to just be our waiter. Clear lack of organization.

I saw him bring a different table 2 beers and didn’t even have anything to open them with. The lady had to ask him to bring a glass so she could pour the beer in. Also he attempted to open the beers with his hand and then instead used his apron and left the beer caps on their table. Unprofessional.

The food… why was the meatloaf portion so huge and the mashed potatoes looked like it was half a serving? The gravy was sloppily dumped on.

I had to ask for utensils because we were never brought any. No napkins. We were told the corn muffins would be out soon (after he already served us food). They never came. Lack of organization.

Basically put in a corner and been forgot about didn't even worry about if we need to refill on our drinks and then when our order came out not all of it came out and we still had to wait on one more order for another 20 minutes. Waitress gave us the wrong damn ticket so I had to wait another 10 minutes just to get her correct ticket and then you couldn't find our ticket in the system. The cashier didn't even ask if I wanted to use my rewards or type in my phone number or anything. Where is damn Cracker Barrel I've ever been to everywhere else is great but here in Strawberry Plains forget about the hospitality or great customer service never come here again

Great restaurant, although it's kind of noisy with all of the hard surfaces. The brick floors are pretty, but difficult to move chairs on.

While we were there today around 2:30 they were not very busy but it did take awhile to get waited on. The waitress and the food was great. The atmosphere was horrible and people were nervous. Corporate was there walking around. I understand they need to do their jobs but you don't have to be so noticeable and make your employees nervous. I've dealt with Corporate companies 20+ years. There's several different ways this can be handled then what they choose. I would almost bet that the men there today couldn't hold a position in the restaurant.

Good food just a little slow bringing the food out.
