I’m the general manager of a local donut shop, and as part of my regular marketing outreach, I hand-deliver fresh donuts to various businesses in our community — not to ask for anything, but simply to say thank you for what they do. On this particular visit, I stopped by this location with the same intention: to extend a small act of kindness. I was greeted by a lovely hostess who was genuinely excited about the gesture and offered to grab her manager so I could explain what I was doing. As she walked away, I clearly overheard a voice from the back — the manager — say, “What does she want?” followed by “What is she trying to get for free?” Let me be very clear: I wasn’t there looking for a handout. I wasn’t there selling anything. I was there trying to do something good. What I received in return was condescension, judgment, and a complete lack of professionalism — not just in tone, but in the fact that those comments were made loud enough for me to hear at the front of the restaurant. That experience was embarrassing, frustrating, and disappointing. I felt like I was being treated as a nuisance instead of a guest or neighbor. Customer service isn’t just about how you treat paying customers — it’s about how you treat people. If you can’t handle a simple act of goodwill without assuming someone is out to take advantage of you, then perhaps some serious retraining is in order — and a deeper look at how your team speaks about others when they think no one is listening. I used to visit this location often. But after this experience, I won’t be back — and I won’t be spending another dime at this location. Do better. Be better. Because people notice.

This place has not been good in so many years. The Kingston pike is okay but this place taste like old microwave food and the parking is horrendous

Nice place, cold beer. It unfortunately gets loud when there's a game on.

Parking: It can be limited when games are on and at lunchtime.

Wheelchair accessibility: It can be a bit difficult since you have to jump up a sidewalk curb then go through two entry doors. Normally, their folks will hold the door for you.

Connor took awesome care of us tonight. We had a big group of over 20 adults during the UT football game. He kept up with all of our drinks and was very attentive to the table. Great service all-round.
