If one is younger than “old” it’s closer to a 4.51. Good food. Not great. Good service. Not great. Atmosphere, even early, is loud. But it’s a college town during the quarter so it should be loud. We’d go back in a shot…but may go earlier.

Good food and decent prices. Wait and go when they're busy or you'll almost have to beg for service. Today was very cold and rainy so very few customers. Had to get up and get things ourselves because our waitress, Lauren (who was very sweet and cute) was never around. Service from everyone else was very good. Time to retrain.

I ordered the 6 piece smoked chicken wings because I've never tried that style. My mind was blown. By far the best wings I've ever had in my life

I had a great experience at Downtown Grill & Brewery. I ordered the 10oz sirloin with blue cheese mashed potatoes and onion rings, and honestly, the steak was one of the best I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the Reuben (he orders one everywhere that has it) and said it was the second best Reuben he’s ever eaten, which is saying a lot. He also got the loaded baked potato, and after trying it, I kind of wished I had ordered that instead of the mashed potatoes.
Our server was excellent and the atmosphere was really nice. The only downside was that we were seated near the entrance, and I got blasted with cold air every time the door opened. Other than that, everything was fantastic and we’d definitely go back.

Visiting Knoxville for the week for business. Stopped in for a late lunch after a day of travel and was greeted/seated promptly. Ordered a side salad and club sandwich with fries. Food was great - drinks as well and our server Keelynn (I am not sure how she spells it) was absolutely amazing. She was on it and so friendly. Will stop back in during our visit for sure.

After a long day of hiking and exploring Knoxville, we stopped in for dinner. We were seated immediately. The service and food were excellent. It was a busy night with a Tennessee football game, but the place is large enough that the noise level never became an issue. Both my wife and I enjoyed our meals and we will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Extremely rude female bartender yesterday for brunch. Will absolutely not be back.
Bartender was upstairs and I did not get her name. She had also yelled at another group of people.

Fabulous lunch with friends. The atmosphere and food was amazing as well as the staff. The surf and turf kabobs are terrific.
The Downtown Blonde Ale is described on the menu as a “light-bodied Kolsch,” but those are two different types of beers. I asked the server which one it was, and she said, “I don’t really know. It’s our light beer. Like a Mich Ultra.” Uh oh, that’s a third type of beer! It came out in a mug with a lime wedge. Not a good sign for a Blonde OR a Kolsch. It was, in fact, a lager.
Any “brewery” staff should know about the beers they’re selling. The brewery itself should know how to list the beer on the menu and know the difference.
Despite the misleading name, this is not a brewery.
