Hubby and I went to TN. Specifically Knoxville. We ALWAYS eat at the DBG. First, the place is really cool. Dark wood bar, they brew their own beer, the staff is always friendly and helpful. Andrea served us today. Loved her vibe. Hubs had a teriyaki mushroom Swiss burger cooked medium and fries. Burger came out with a pink warm center. Great flavor. Fries were soft on the inside and not overcooked! I had the grilled chicken Caesar salad. The dressing was thin but full of flavor. Lettuce was fresh and crunchy!! Chicken was flavorful! Definitely recommend! Cool place, cool vibes and great food and service!!

They make you wait over 40 minutes to tell you that they don’t have your steak that they are all sold out as well as eggs who the hell runs out of eggs for one I can understand maybe steak but make you wait 40 minutes to tell you that you’re not getting your meal or your wife’s mealall she ordered was chips and salsa in a salad. Talk to the manager when absolutely nowhere but not this place at all but that type of service. Not to mention you do have to pay to even park here nothing was even complemented gift card anything for a giant waste of time and money to even come here

Too much cheese. If you like extra cheese on pizza or pasta, this is the place for you. However, for my taste, there should be more sauce and less cheese. The combination, along with apparently over processed toppings, makes the pizza rather bland. Likewise for the pasta. After the cheese cooled, I could probably lift the entire bowl of pasta at once with a fork. Less cheese and more sauce is how I would expect it to be served. Apparently, they must think their customers prefer cheese to taste. Maybe make extra cheese an option, not the standard, and don't skimp on the sauce.

My husband and I stopped into the Downtown Grill & Brewery two weeks ago before attending a show at the Bijou right down the street. It was a Thursday evening around 5:30 and we were immediately led to a table on the second floor. Our service was fast and friendly and we enjoyed our beers and an order of chips with queso while we waited for our entrees. I enjoyed my Carolina Burger and my husband enjoyed his pizza. This was our first time at Downtown Grill & Brewery and we knew we'd be back. Within a week, I was back with my parents and my son for dinner after a show at the Tennessee Theater. It was a Saturday evening and also the weekend of the Knoxville marathon. The place was packed! We were quoted a 45 minute wait for a table, though it ran a bit quicker than that. This time I tried the steak salad. It was a bit heavy on the dressing but the steak was perfectly cooked. Everyone enjoyed their meal!

Food is great and the service here is usually exceptional. Except for Wednesday evening when we went with my parents. Service was terrible!! Took forever to get our drinks and it took her forever to get our food order and asked for lemon wedges which we never got. We asked her for Togo boxes which never came either. Waited at least 10 minutes. Finally got the girl that was rolling silverware and asked her for one and she said, "ask your server, she'll get you one." I said, "I did, like 10 minutes ago." Well, the girl rolling the silverware bright us one. She blamed the servers table that just came in which was a party of about 8 who was sat long after we were. And it wasn't that busy. Just very disappointed. Especially when you always get great service. The server didn't act like she wanted to be there either. Just not as happy as we usually are.

I sat at the bar and ordered a couple house beers, they were fine. Service at the bar was a little hit and miss. It's a real neat looking place, casual but but not grungy. The food menu had lots of options and I was prepared to be disappointed when I ordered fajitas but they were actually killer, and the portions were generous. All in all I'd gladly go here again.

Great job today! Food and service was on point.

Quite a large variety of adult beverages and the grub is typical of a decent beer-hall type restaurant. We visit several times a year when we are downtown for a movie, concert or other event. Woth a visit.

Food quality was marginal at best. Service was okay. Drinks were okay also. It was very crowded. I guess people were desperate.

I was in town for a conference and remembered i ate here last year. I ordered the Fish n Chips and they were fantastic. The staff were really attentive and friendly. The place is pretty happening. Lots of activity on Gay Street but the place was full. Overall it was a great experience

My parents brought me here since they were here in August and loved it. The waiter we had was on his second day there and he did a great job for only being there for two days. I got the steak fajitas and it was underwhelming. It didn't come out sizzling, and the steak was very rough to cut or chew. My sister got the grilled chicken mesquite and it was huge with a nice taste to it. It's basketball game day at UT so it was covered in orange in the restaurant. I would go back but get something other than the meal I got. The building was old but gave it such a small town vibe. I loved sitting on the 2nd floor above the bar. In the back of the 1st floor is there brewery. The back of floor 2 had another bar and game tables. Would have loved this in college.
