great service and great food!

We usually eat here often but about a week ago we ate here and got severe food poisoning I ate most of my food and then seen a piece of chicken that was grey. I immediately stopped eating once I seen it but it was too late. I was so sick I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. We will not eat here again or recommend this place anymore.

We always love coming here and getting amazing food. It's always fresh and hot. The wait time is not long either and the wait staff and owner are always so nice. We will always come to el metates.

Just ok.
Salsa had a good consistency and flavor, poblano chicken was decent- chicken tough, rice no flavor, ceviche was HORRIBLE- pretty sure it was just boiled shrimp tossed with tomato juice and onions.
Service was nice and quick.
No plans to return

This is my families favorite Mexican dining spot. We always get great service and food. We like many items on the menu but our favorites include Guiso Mexicano, Shrimp Soup, and the Grilled Shrimp. The guacamole dip is excellent, and we like the salsa as well.

Parking: There are always plenty of free parking spots as it shares a lot with many other businesses including a Wal-Mart.

We did Take out….. we had the Spinach Enchiladas. They were ok. I’m not a fan of corn tortillas. Next time I will get it wrapped in flour tortillas. Everything else was delicious.
