We are new to the area and one of the first things we bought was a Hop Passport for Tennessee. Glad we did! First stop was at Elst Brewing in Knoxville, Tn. On a Friday it opened at noon so we only waited a few minutes. Outside seating area was clean and they had a food truck ,be used after 5:30 in the day. Brunch on Sunday. With the place to ourselves I explored and asked a lot of questions about the beers and other offerings. They had their own and others on tap or canned. I would highly recommend stopping here and we will be back! My son in law and daughter got a flight, also a Coffee Lager. I got the Vanilla Milk Shake Ale, and my spouse got the Elst Brown. We all tasted the flight of course. Also we loved it enough we bought two Ales to go!

Love good beer and a laid back vibe. This is the place. Only down side is lack of food options.

A cozy, quiet, welcoming Taphouse. Upon entering, the barkeep welcomed us in with a nice, warm smile, immediately making me feel wanted here. I started out by getting their Fall Strawberry Sour. I tend to normally love sours but this one was quite different from what I'm used to. It was very tart and acidic. It definitely wasn't for me, but I could definitely see people liking it. Upon the defeated feeling of getting something I didn't like, I picked myself up and tried again. This time, I got a Vanilla Milkshake Ale and that one was MUCH better. It had a sweet taste, with a smooth texture, but tasting of a light beer at the same time. I'm excited to try their Chocolate Milkshake Ale eventually.I'm definitely coming back here and would recommend this place to someone who's looking for a cozy, laid back Taphouse.

Cool place... seating inside and outside. Beers are really good. Especially the vanilla milkshake ale. Some of excellent choices for IPA lovers. Parking along side streets. Fun crew especially the owner Shane.

Service and beer were enjoyable. Outside area looked promising once weather warms up. Live music on schedule. Will visit again.

I have not been to the brewery itself but I am in love with the Vanilla milkshake and chocolate ales. O M G ! Creamy, smooth, yes like a milkshake. I was a fan of California Cream ale. It is bitter and hoppy compared to the milkshake ale. They're like eating a delectable treat.

We went to Elst for our first time and absolutely loved it! #1 the beer is great. We had a couple of different amazing IPA's and a pale ale and loved all of them. #2 great ambiance and outdoor space, cool history behind this brewery how it was built from an alley #3 Next door to an amazing sandwich shop "steamboat" which makes it convenient to grab food while enjoying a beer. It had everything we want in a brewery. Make sure to check this place out in Knoxville TN

Had a great time here. Brought my dog and we hung out in the grassy patio area. The beer was great and love that it's right next to the sub shop. Perfect location and atmosphere!

We love it here. We come regularly with a large group of friends. It has the capacity to host larger groups. They also have a great private room you can rent. It has a fantastic vibe. A amazing patio. It's dog friendly. And best yet, great beers! They also offer a good truck and has a amazing pizza place that you can bring in.
