The bartender was overwhelmed. We were at the bar. The tavern was very crowded, not a problem. There was one bartender to handle dozens of people on one end, another around the corner of the bar. He really needed help. Another bartender on Friday nights would be helpful.
Let me start by saying that the atmosphere and decor is quite lovely. It is nicely decorated to compliment the historic building. The service was good, but what I found dissappointing was the food they were out of. At 6pm on a Friday they were not busy. I was stunned that they were out of the cheddar biscuits. Then one of our party tried to order bangers, which you expect to find at an Irish restaurant, but they were out. They only have 3 desserts on the menu and they were out...
Had dinner with my family last night. Very slow service, Had only one server working and had no bar service. Food was okay but not great. Neat venue, but a little weird having a dentist office in the lobby.
