Went to eat there and sign says business closed and their website is taken down. It was the absolute best place to eat in east Tennessee. It will be missed!!!!
This place is really great, the food is delicious and the setting of the restaurant is calming. The bathrooms are really sanitary, but they're one person bathrooms. With a smaller place like this it's fine.
One of our favorite places to eat. Never had anything bad from here. So sad that it is closing in a few days ðŸ˜
I've been here several times and I've only had good experiences. Their blue plate specials and dessert case are always winners.
friendly people excellent atmosphere like home
One of my favorite spots! I found this gem about 4 years ago. It has that classic, American diner atmosphere. Going in there is like taking a step back in time, to when life was simple (no frills) and the meals were fresh and hot. I have eaten there quite a few times and I have yet to get something I didn't like. Oh. My. Goodness! The desserts are amazing!! All in all, it's worth it to get a small taste of heaven.
The food was freshly prepared and very good. Portions were generous. Lovely family environment.
Great Diner food at it's best. We had 4 adults and 2 kids 5 and 3 and it was $60. Damn good food for damn good cost. We even got a piece of cake to take home. The wife's prego so only half the cake made it home. That's alright, I love her. Kudos Fountain City Diner! Kudos.
We came in Saturday afternoon. It was busy and we had a large group with infants. The food took a little longer than expected but the Manager came by several times and apologized for the wait. The food came and was very good. My son had a pancake that looked out of a magazine. The price was just right for the quality and quantity. They are an oldschool diner with Cakes, Pies, and Sundaes. Very good place to eat after the Zoo.
Good home cooking and a friendly staff

Great food. Best onion rings and desserts!!
Average food today. Service was not too bad. The pancakes were overcooked, so they were not fluffy but crunchy. Did not finish them, which is sad because you pay $7.50 for them
Consistently tasty! We have been coming here for almost 10 years and the menu never changes. The specials are always the same. Always. So we know what night to go! The desserts are homemade, better than Cheesecake Factory and MUCH cheaper.
Quaint home-like atmosphere serving a a variety of tasty food from farm fresh to superior main course meals. Be sure to save room for home made desserts of cakes and pies! Prices are very affordable...you will not be disappointed😎
The food is very appetizing, everything that we have had has been very good. The onion straws are the best I've ever had! And the cakes are out of this world delish!
