A hidden gem and I can’t wait to go back! The food is absolutely incredible, everything I’ve tried is so full of flavor I could eat here every week! I highly recommended the peel and eat shrimp and the gumbo..just like you were in Louisiana!

I didn’t expect to food to be that good!
I thought the food was good just wished my jambalaya had more meat in it for how much I am paying. They had a wall of hot sauce which as a hot sauce lover was much appreciated. Very cool would go back.

One of my favorite places to get lunch downtown. Highly recommend the jambalaya (add shrimp). Always quick, delicious and in a cool atmosphere.

Accidentally landed here when I came to buy olive oil next door. Bartender was friendly and provided good service. Our food was delecious. Prime and Proper, jambalaya, and sopping & spicy. Yum. This is a good place to get moctails and non alcoholic beer, too. Will be back again.

Food here was just okay. I guess probably acceptable enough for bar food. The nachos were COLD. But the chicken on it was tasty. I will say the jambalaya was disappointing. It was literally made from a box of Zatarain’s and a can of rotel. I know this because I make this frequently in the fall in a crockpot for camping. So I thought that was kind of lame. At least the shrimp on it was quite good! If you’re an actual Cajun looking for a good home cooked meal you probably would be not impressed with this place. But if you’re coming here for a causal bar hangout it’s probably acceptable enough food wise. Service was good at least and the vibe is fun.

My 21 yo son and I went here for lunch because he loves Jambalaya. We were shocked by how good it was. Excellent flavor, especially with the blackened shrimp added. They also have a large assortment of hot sauces for you to try. The beers were very good as well... I had a Belgian and it was excellent. Highly recommend for a comfortable place to chill that has great food and beer.

Knox brew hub is a staple downtown, the addition of Fred beans and rice has truly been a gift to me. As a bartender downtown, a weekend warrior as we say, I have some long long shifts. This place is my go to for something hardy and delicious. I love these guys and you will too!
